These are for the people who love books....
in other words, those who have said NO to the e-readers.
Although...I might just put one of these inside my Kindle case
just because they're so cute!

Here's how to make them:
  •  cut a strip of cardstock weight paper 1 3/4 " wide by 10" long
  • fold in half
  • stamp or print a sentiment on the lower front ( I printed mine using the Open Office program that came on my computer. This is way easy to do:
type your sentiment( I used CK Retrospect font size 18...yes I can spend hours  scrolling thru fonts !...anyhow, position your sentiment to print on the lower right side of the paper. Print this page...then tape ( with Scotch REMOVABLE tape...this is important because if you use regular tape it will mess up your cardstock)...back to tapeing...then position your paper strip over top of the printing and tape in place. Put this sheet back into the printer and print again! like a charm!
  • now you'r ready to decorate the top...I chose to cut a scalloped circle and add a die-cut daisey.   Easy-Peasy!

  • to finish the bookmark
  •  add magnetic strips to the on each end of the strip.
That's all there is to it!
Here's a picture of the supplies I used:

Have fun !

till next time,
