My Idea of Fishing!

I made this card  for a challenge on the Ai Blog.

I like making the image extend outside the background circle.
You can do this when you're cutting the circle, but doing it by paper piecing the images that extend past the circle is easier.  I opt for easier every time!

Here's how...just stamp the image on different colored backgrounds and then cut them apart.
Like this:

Then you glue them back on the original image... when cutting out the pieces,
cut so you see the black line ...it makes for a better looking image. Lines that were too thin to cut out...like the fishing line....
I drew  back in with a black marker....I used a Zig Millennium
size 005....it gives you a very fine line.
Give it a try!

Till next time,
Doni

  1. LOVE this!! The way you broke the sentiment up onto tags looks great! I also love how the image extends outside the "frame". Your card is adorable. I think this is the only "nap for that" stamp I don't have...now I want this one too. Thanks for joining us at Art Impressions this week. Hope to see you again soon.

  3. love this Doni, told you I would stop by on my days off this week, lol. That one thing I haven't done yet with stamped images is paper piecing, it always looks so nice. Just one more technique on my to try list that grows every day, but you know how that is I'm sure. Have a great day see you soon.
