Well, trick or treat was Last Saturday night at our house,
so the next holiday is Thanksgiving.

Here's a card I made for today's challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.
The challenge was to use woven ribbon.

It was pretty easy...cut 6" pieces of assorted ribbon ...put some dot( I use Tombro Dot adhesive because you can lift things back up if it hasn't been stuck down for long) adhesive across the center of the card.  Start in the center and weave the ribbon...under and over, under and over etc..... trim ends when finished.

Here's what else I've been working on this past week:

and of course another Christmas Card...
Thanks for checking in...

Poppies in silhouette

My friend Nancy went shopping ... I love when she does that! So, now she has lots of cool dies from Memory Box that I can this one of the Poppies.
I used patterened paper called Vintage Music ( I think I got it at Hobby Lobby)
and the Mini tabs Die-namic from My Favorite Things.
Here's the inside:
The sentiment is a stamp from Hero Arts.

On Splitcoast Stampers today's challenge was to use crayons...
so I melted my lime green one ......

First I used my Silhouette to cut out the letters from black cardstock:
Then I used the heat gun to melt a lime green crayon and let it drip down from the cut out letters,
then layered lime green cardstock under the black and matted the whole shebang on orange.
This is what the inside looks like...
The cute little Ghosts are from a  Sizzix die that I've  had forever.
This was a fun and easy card to do to go scrape off all the melted crayon from my desk!

Splitcoast Challenge

This past week I've been playing along with the challenges on the Splitcoast Stampers web site. You can find it by clicking on the badge at the right side of this blog.

I found out that these challenges give me parameters.
This is helpfull because with too many choices I have a hard time deciding, gee...what paper ,this red or that print..or red stripe..or this darker red...or maybe pink!   Anyhow you get the idea.

Todays challenge was to use a rosette.
This is what I came up with:
Wednesday was a challenge where they gave you a sketch to follow:
Tuesday was a color challenge using
perfect plum, summer starfruit, tangerine tango, and pool party
Last Saturdays challenge was an inspiration challenge from this website
Last Fridays Challenge was to use "Fall Leaves"
so .... that 's  what has been keeping me busy and happy in my craft room this last week.
