Todays challenge on Splitcoast Stampers was to use Triangles.
I'm am so looking forward to spring that the first thing that came to mind was
triangles for flower petals.
I used a 1 1/4 inch square punch, cut it into 4 triangle pieces...throw one of them away...then arrange the remaining three pieces around a dew drop bead to form a pretty flower.
It's nice to know that pretty can be easy!
Wednesday's challenge was a sketch. Here's what I did:
and Tuesday was a color challenge:

the colors were some of my favorites...white, lime and tangerine!
Thanks for looking!

Blue Beaded Flowers

The Free 4 All challenge over at Splitcoast is to use Blue & Browns.
My container of beads ( from years ago) caught my eye this morning.
I'm trying to be good and use some of the older stuff .
That way I can justify
"NEEDING " to buy new stuff!
Here's what I learned today...fingernails come in handy when chasing micro beads around!
Actually, I do have a couple of helpfull hints.....
a glue dot in the center of a flower holds the micro beads in a nice round shape!
after you stamp the flower and cut it out, if you take a marker ( a color that matches what you stamped with) and go around the edge with the brush end, your flower will look better.
Thanks for stopping by.

Made this card for todays color challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.
The colors were:
 Very Vanilla
Basic Black
and Crumb Cake.

not much stamping..but I love the look of the die cuts.

This is the card I made on Sunday when it was  cold and snowy ... and grey and yucky out.  I made a
Butterfly card with pretty bright colors...and yes, it did brighten my mood!

Ah, today was a day to make Valentines.

The first one I made was to enter the Thursday Challenge on the Ai blog.
You can find more info about that here:

The challenge was to use the paper piecing technique...that's where you stamp on different paper( in this case, I stamped the image on a red & white stripped paper) and then cut out the heart Val is holding and adhered it to the original image which had been stamped on white cardstock and colored with copics.
I took it one step more and cut the entire image out.  See the fine scroll lines on his bow...I cut those off the image( who in their right mind would try and cut around those things!)..then when I repositioned Val  on the large white background heart, I drew the lines back in with a Zig millennium pen size 005.

The other valentine I made today was for the Splitcoast Stamper Free 4 All Friday Challenge:

I love the CAS ( clean and simple) look.
I used washi tape, Quickutz heart die, and paper smooches sentiment stamp...
.a little sponging with ink for shading , white gel pen for highlights and
Wa La ...done!
Thanks for stopping by!
