Mojo Monday
Sketch Challenge

Todays card  can be either a circle or a square...I chose a square.

I was looking through my papers and I came across this My Minds eye 6x6 paper pad
called Be Happy.  The sheet of hexagons caught my eye ...and shape and size wise it worked with the sketch.  As luck would have it the birthday wishes sentiment from Verve's Joyful Blooms fit exactly inside a hexagon.  I stamped it , cut it out backed it in cardstock that was the same color as the card front and used pop dots to add some dimension.
Banners were cut from papers from the same paper pad , added satin ribbon and a bow and the card was done!
till next time,

It's kind of rainy and dreary out today and I'm sitting here thinking about my nephew who is having his second major surgery (in as many months) as we speak.
So I made him a get well card:

The inside says: ....and stay that way!
The challenge  on Splitcoast Stampers , Try a New Technique, is to make your own chevrons.
So that's what i did. It's really easy when you follow the Tutorial by Julie Hoffman.
You can find it here:
I had my chalks sitting out on my desk, so I shadded everything!  The cute little push pin note stamp
I wanted it to say get well, so I put scotch tape over the words "place stamp here", then inked it up and...gee like a real bird brain, forgot to remove the tape before I stamped it.
I learn from my mistakes... the second try came out fine!

..sometimes simple is best!

Yesterday I went to the Akron Adventures in Stamping Convention .
WOW! about sensory overload!
This morning to clear my head and find some inspiration, I visited the Less is more website.
You can check them out here:
One of the booths I visited yesterday was Impression Obsession.
I bought some cool dies... the button die was one of them. Look how cute it fits in this flower!
The sentiment is also from them but the flower is Flower fusion #1 from PaperTrey ink.
Over at SplitCoast Stampers today, the Featured Stamper is Pattie G,
this is her card I chose to CASE:
Here's what mine looks like:
I'm still using some new stuff I got at the convention...The Stencil is by Wendy Veach, she designs for Stampers Anonymous which is in Cleveland, Ohio.  Yea !,...for the almost home town girl!
And this card ended up being purple because I bought a new Ranger Distress Ink pad called dusty concord.
Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you enjoy your weekend.

This is the card I made for SplitCoast Stampers Mix-Ability Challenge
which is to use at least two mediums and include some hand drawn doodling.
OK, I must put in a  "Cheater_Alert" ...This awesome zentangle was doodled by my daughter, Jennifer.  She made this last year , put it on magnetic backing and gave it to me for Mother's Day!
It's been hanging on my fridge ever since, so for todays challenge all I did was sponge a pretty background and mount Jen's creation with sticky dots!  Hey, why re-invent the wheel?!
I also have this zentangle she made hanging on the wall in my new crop room.
Have some fun today!

Springtime Pastels

Check out  the Color Throwdown Blog...

Todays colors are celery, Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink, and Blush Blossom.
Here's the card I made using them:

After I finished this card, I had all these pretty springtime pastel papers all over my desk....
So, I was also thinking about what some of my scrapbooking friends told me last night, about how I needed to make some new paper piecings to sell at the next crop....and because springtime pastels reminded me of Easter ... this is the new paper piecing I came up with:

I think he's a smile bringer! After looking at this picture I see he needs a little more shading on his left side....If anyone is interested in ordering one for themselves, just leave me a comment with your
e-mail address and I'll get back to ya!

Thanks for looking.

Bloomin Good Day

It really has been a bloomin good day.... it's warm and sunny and
I think  the flowering trees have opened up all at once!  I really enjoyed all of nature's beauty this morning while I was out running errands.

This is the card I made for April's Challenge at the Cats Pajamas Challenge Blog.
The challenge is to make a card with flowers being the focal point not just an embellishment.
Originally, this cute little big eared bunny was holding a birthday cake...but  I think she looks right at home here frolicking in the flowers!

Thanks for stopping by.

For a friend

Playing along with Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #290
This is for a friend . I wanted to drop her a note and  tell her how excited I am that she's retiring soon!
I picked black & red because she wore those colors for all the years her sons played sports..(these were the high schools's colors)
She and I both have black cats and the heart is because she holds a special place in mine.
So, that's how this card came to be... now all I have to do is remember to mail it!
Gracie (my other cat, George is the black one) helped with the blog today!
Believe it or not, that's her happy face!

I love to read, so when I saw this stamp it spoke to my heart!
Kraftin Kimmie Challenge Blog
has a fun tic tac toe challenge this week.
I chose the diagonal... Blue, Gems, Dies
This next card is a CASE (copy and share everything)
You can get all the details on my splitcoast Gallery. Just go to Galleries and search for donidoodle.
Had fun today!
Love my craft room upstairs in what was the back bedroom. Since Glenn has lost his voice , and I won't get him a Bell ( lol), he wanders in and out to see what I'm doing, so this way he's getting his walking therapy done! YEA

Hope you all have a great day!

Blue Butterfly's April and it's snowing outside!
That could be why I made my butterfly blue instead of a bright warm color ...who knows the workings of a strange mind!?

 ...and this is the inside
Today on SplitCoast Stampers,  the challenge was an inspiration challenge from
the website mydeco.  You can see what I chose for inspiration here:

On  one of our crops, I printed off a sheet of butterflies from my digi stamp file so that I could use some of my daughter Jennifer's blue glimmer mist spray just to play around with it.
I didn't use them then, but I remembered them when I saw the butterfly cushion in my inspiration piece. The most amazing thing about this is that I actually found that sheet !! I know, suprised me too!

Anyhow, I brightened  the butterfly up a bit with markers and ...waa-laa... the card was born!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Rainbow Circles

Woo-Hoo..I'm.on a roll!
The challenge today on SplitCoast Stampers, was to use rainbow colors on your card.  I used a free digi stamp from
I used  a 1" circle punch for the  bright colors  and placed a black 3/4" circle on easy peasy way to make rings of color!
This was a quick and fun card to make!
Till next time,

Hi there!

I came across a very cool website..Color Throwdown...
Of course I had to join and try my hand at challenge #238.
Here it is:

I liked the colors, Daffodil Yellow,Brilliant Blue, Black and White.
I used the bike die from Marianne design that I got on my last visit to The Stamp Pad in Zoar Ohio.
The basket looked a little flat so I used some net looking paper That I had pulled from my stash(because it was Blue). Here's a look at what I'm talking about:
Because it was blue mesh on top of the same color blue paper it was hard to see the texture,so I used the white signo pen to color one block of the mesh and quick before the ink dried, pressed it on the bike basket. It transfered just enough white to give it the basket feel I was going for!

Thanks for stopping by.

A Robot Birthday!
Wednesday's SplitCoastStampers sketch challenge inspired me to make this card

Then I tried again and came up with this:
It's hard to tell, but the grey panel is on pop dots which gives it a lot more dimension IRL.
I think I might go back and add glossy accents to the balloons.

Either way, they were fun to make!
Hope you had some fun today, too!

Mojo Monday
I made this card for the Mojo Monday Sketch's fun, if you'd like to give it a try
check them out here:

I also made a card for the CAS challenge over at SplitCoastStampers:
I found that it was actually easier to sew the buttons on than to use glue dots...besides, a button with out thread bugs me!
Check out my splitcoast "donidoodle".
There you can see what the inspiration was for this card.
Good news Today!!!
Glenn gets to come home from Rehab on Wednesday!

Birthday Tulips
Today's SplitCoast Stamper Challenge is Featured Stamper.
Lin aka bearpaw was chosen today's Featured Stamper!

Loved looking at her gallery...heres's the card I chose to case:;ppuser=180764

I changed the color to ...guess what...yea, GREEN!
used a different flower die
and placed the brads up & down rather than across
I made this card for last Thursdays challenge .
The Ways To Use It challenge was to use a window.

I turned around, looked at my window and saw my black cat George looking out at the bare tree that's pretty much what I did on my card!
Sometimes inspiration is right in front of you!
I love Memory Box Dies!
