Bokeh Effect

Bokeh is actually a photography technique that is a blur or an out of focus area of the image.
Today on Splitcoaststampers the try a new technique challenge is to try the bokeh effect.
See what I'm talking about here:

This is my take on the bokeh effect

Step by step here's what I did:
First I chose stamps...

then I chose colors... I chose pink yellow and oranges
because I didn't want it looking too much like a Valentine.....

next, I stamped the image with Memento ink because it's formulated
to work well with copics and it won't smear when you sponge over top of it

The sponging is very light in the upper left corner and in the lower right corner.

From this step on , I got busy creating and forgot to take more pictures...
but what I did was to stamp hearts  three times before re-inking the stamp ..making sure I had the darker shades nearest the heart pillow the bear is squeezing.

Then I colored the image with copics.
E13,E53,E57 and R20 for the bear
RV63, RV55 and RV66 for the heart pillow

I grounded the bear by shading with brown chalk.
I like shading with chalk because if you don't like it
you can always erase it with a white eraser.

It was fun playing with this new technique . I hope you'll give it a try!

Thanks for stopping by.
till next time,
Doni
