This is the card I made to play along with the Featured Stamper Challenge over on Splitcoaststampers.
I think I'll save this and send it to my daughter..after all the older she gets the older  I have to admit to!....after all, we can't be the same age!
I spent most of the day making my paperpiecings that I sell at the crop in August.
Here's the one's I'm catching up on:
If you want to order any special ones, or need special colors...just let me know.
We are adopting a new cat....her name is Sukie.
We brought her home friday and she made a bee -line into the back of the closet in my craft room.
She finally came out to make friends with me today...doesn't she have the prettiest blue eyes?
I'll keep you posted as to what happens when she gets to meet George & Gracie ( our other two cats).
One last card to show you today.
This is the card I Made as an entry to the CAS Summer Design team call.
I had been selected as one of the top 10
( the card with the sunglasses was my submission for challenge #1)
This was for challenge #2....woodgrain.
I liked it, however I didn't make the cut to be in the top 5...darn!
Oh, well... in three months there will be a call for the fall CAS design team.
One can only dream!

both had stays in the hospital this month!
I also played along with the CAS challenge on SplitcoastStampers.
We were to to take inspiration from this pin on Pinterest:
Here's what I came up with:
And this on is my entry in the CAS summer design team challenge #1: last card for the featured stamper challenge :

Playing along with the Inspiration Challenge on SplitcoastStampers.
The site Steph chose for us today is called thomaspaul.
You can see what I chose to inspire my card here:
The moment I saw those pretty pink snapdragons I thought ...
Yea,  a great chance to use this cute stamp that I've had for awhile now.
My friend Donna saw it at a garage sale and got it for me....
not so much for the flowers but  because she knew that I'd get a kick out of
the other stamp in this set. I used it on the inside...we'll get to that later!
To start this card I had to find a clip art picture of snapdragons because
I had no idea how to color them. Then I printed out my inspiration picture.
Next, I stamped the design and colored in the background with copic sketch pen N8.
This is called neutral grey, but it sure does look black to me!
The flowers were colored with:
and the leaves were colored with
To finish the front I stamped my go to greeting from impression obsession stamps
and did a little line work....if this scares you, draw it lightly in pencil first.
Now on to the inside:
I love it!'s so true! LOL

Krafty Guest Contest

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is having a contest .
The winner gets to hang with the Krafty Girls for a month.
I'm throwin' my hat in the ring with this card:
The requirements were to use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp...
I used Mary, Mary  Quite Contrary
and to have some sparkle...
Mary's very special flowers have sparkley rhinestones in the center.
This card measures 4 1/2 " by 6 1/4".
That's a little bigger than I usually make ...but I needed the room to play!
and yes, I checked to make sure I had an envelope that fits!
The cool paper is from Basic Grey...a 6x6 paper pad called sweet threads.
I started by stamping the image on x-Press It Blending Card paper.
Love ,love, love this paper. It's made especially for copic markers
and it does make a difference...besides it feels so good to the touch!
Speaking of copics...check out my side bar! Yep ,I got my standard certification
and my intermediate certification...YEA!   But, that"s going to be
another post,  ...stay tuned!
I paper pieced the bottom of her skirt and the bow that's on her hat.
Then I cut her out and used thin pop dots to adhere her to the card front.
The sentiment is a paper smooches stamp. The green folage is a die cut from
Memory box and the flowers were from an old Sandylion essentials package
that was left over from when I closed the Scrapbook Shop.
(ya gota use this old stuff sometime!)
Oh, and to anchor her and the flowers I used a die cut from The Cat's Pajamas.
Thanks for looking, I hope you like it!
Wish me luck in the contest!

Mojo Monday
Did the weekend go by super quick or what?
It's time for another Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

I combined this sketch with the "Try a New Technique" challenge
on splitcoaststampers which  encouraged us to used a ruffled
embellished ribbon.
Thanks for looking!
I'm keeping it short & sweet today.

...flying by!

I don't know where the time goes!
It just seems to fly by... groan...sorry about that, I couldn't resist!
This is the card I made for this week's Simon Says Stamp blog challenge.
The theme is "Transport". What better way to transport a message than a paper airplane?!
Besides, I just love the the stamp set by lawn fawn.
I used papers from the Basic Grey
6x6 pyrus paper pad.
Other cards I did this week are:
This was a splitcoaststamper challenge to do a one layer card
and since this was one big stamp it pretty much qualified!
This one Quacks me up!!... sorry, there I go again!
I also did this card for a splitcoaststamper challenge:
This was a color challenge to use
pear pizazz, old olive ,daffodil delight and white.
Thanks for stopping by.

MOJO Monday

But, I love these colors together....Speaking of colors....
Today's CAS Challenge on Splitcoaststampers is a color challenge.
The colors are:
Hot Pink, Kraft,Celery Green and White.
Here's the card I made with those colors:

Flowers on a Trellis

I started to play along with today"s
Inspiration Challenge and Steph had a link to the virtual stamp night weekend...soo...
this is the card it inspired me to make.
I had fun making my own trellis.
First I cut a rectangle out of a piece of embossed cardstock.
Then I made a frame to fit over the opening.
To make the trellis all I did was turn the paper over (so I could work from the wrong side)
and glue thin strips that I had cut .
To make the gluing go easier first I  drew pencil lines diagonally
 from corner to corner.
To finish I added die cut swirley leaves ( from Cheery Lynn Dies)
and flowers from Michael's ( the ones that come in a cute bottle).
Add some pearls and a tiny sentiment and pop the whole thing up on the card front.
I didn't like just seeing plain white behind the trellis,
so I sponged some blue...way too bright ...
I glued a piece of vellum over it.  Much better!
Hope you like it!
Oh, yes..Gracie helped!
She likes her perch... she can look out the window  or down at me without moving!
Thanks for stopping by. Please feel free to leave a comment, I love hearing from you!

Say It Loud
A few weeks ago I was the winner of the "negative space" challenge on the
 Art Impressions Thursday challenges.
The prize was four of their new stamps called say it loud.
That's what I've been playing with today.
This card I made to play along with their challenge this week which was to use Brads or Eyelets.
I used cute yellow flower eyelets to hang my Say It Loud sign.
It you want to see the cutest brads and eyelets check out:
The push pin is from a stamp set called Envelope Dress-Ups by
The pin is poped up on pop dots...yea, that was tricky to cut them that tiny!
And the cupcake has some sparkle that didn't show up in the photo.
The second card was made following the
Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge for today
These were fun cards to make...of course, I'm a big fan of bright bold colors!
Take time to have some fun today!

MOJO  Monday
     Here's the sketch
and here's my interpretation:
This was a fun sketch to use.
For one of the circles I used a free digi stamp from Bird's Cards.
You can find it here:
The party hat was in a package of embellishments I bought a long time ago...have no idea who made them, but it sure was nice to find the perfect spot to use one of them !
This is what the inside looks like:
The sentiment is computer generated.
Well, that's all for today.... off to get my eyes examined for
new glasses.....I keep cleaning them and cleaning them and things
still look like I'm looking through smeary glasses!  lol ....guess it's time for new ones!
till next time,
