Over at Splitcoaststampers they're having a week long event called

So Saturday there were 6 them done!
Sunday there were 6 more far I've got 4 of them finished.
Monday (today) there were 5 new challenges... only got to one of them so far!
I'd really like to get them all done...the prizes are worth it to get put into that group.
I did them all last year put into that group, but the random generator did not pick my number! ..boohoo...  I'm hoping for better luck this year.
Here's the cards finished so far:

Whew! I need to get 6 more done to be caught up...Crazy ...right?
But , so much fun!

Bella's Birthday

My oldest grandchild will be 15 tomorrow!
Scarry how fast these years are going by.
This is the card I made for her. Inside there is a short and sweet note
from me and grandpa and a pocket to hold a gift card....because, you know...
what else do you buy a teenager?!
Over at "Less is More" the theme this week is handmade flowers.
I made the center for this big 'ole flower from a hexagon die cut out of paper from MY Minds Eye
that already had the number printed on it.
For the petals I used a 1 1/4" circles punched from yellow striped paper,
then I hand cut a stem and leaf from green scraps. Stamped on Happy Birthday
with a paper smooches stamp and called it done.
Here are some other cards I worked on this can find details about them over in my Gallery
in Splitcoaststampers...just search for donidoodle.
Thanks for looking!

Christmas in July

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #187
is Christmas in July.
I got this cute Balancing Elf stamp last year...
it was fun to ink it up again.
I knew that I wanted to make him on a long narrow shape with a fancy top...
however everything I wanted to use was either too big or too small... so
I ended up making a template out of punched circles and tracing it and hand
cutting it out.
Here's what I used:

This is a picture of my backyard:

Yep , flooded! We have a walk out basement so,
pretty much have a flood inside too!
Sure am glad I just moved my crop room upstairs!
Anyhow, in much needed breaks from sucking up water
I made this card :
Oh, don't I wish!  LOL!
These are the colors for today's
Color Throwdown challenge.
Bermuda Bay
Crumb Cake
Melon Mambo
So Saffron

They're having a Fifth Anniversary Celebration.
You can check it out here:

This card has no stamping on it. It's made entirely using a paper cutter
and Quickut dies. The letters are a really cute font called Lemonade.

Well, before I get back to work on the basement, just in case you've been wondering...
Sukie and George have become good buds!
Do you think I could get them to look at way...
not when there were birds cherping in that tree!
Thanks for stopping by.

Happy 4th of july...a day early!
Todays theme over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog
is to create a patriotic card.
I used the sketch from today's challenge on splitcoaststampers
and used My Favorite Things Die-namics stacking stars and an
EK sucess shape punch.
The lettering was done on the computer.

4th of July

Hope everyone's looking forward to a great holiday weekend.
I know I am !
I made this card  for the color challenge over on splitcoatstampers....
yep, the colors were red, white and blue and dessert was make it patriotic.
I used  the awesome Mojo 300 sketch from yesterday.
This will give me two entries in their prize giveaway....fingers crossed!
For the focal square I used  some printed paper I found in my stash
called All American words by Adorn it.
The red & white stripe is actually christmas paper from
a 6x6 paper pad called mistletoe by  BoBunny
and the blue star paper is called Liberty by Scenic Route.
And once again I used the MFT First place ribbon die & stamp set .
I really like using this sketch...makes it easy peasy!
Took time this afternoon to go see the movie " White House Down".
Loved it!
Hope you also take time to do something fun today!

Mojo Monday

Mojo Monday
They're celebrating  their three hundredth sketch this week
with lots of prizes from some really great companies.
Sure would be fun to win something.
They do the random number generator way of picking winners,
so everyone has a good chance.
This is the sketch:

And here is my card:

Laugh if you want....but I know I'm going to need this next year for my great
Neice Morgan who will be graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 2014.
Now all I have to do is remember where I put it so I can find it when I need it!!!
Thanks for stopping by.
