hello

It's sketch challenge day today on Splitcoast.
Here's my card:

I used memory box dies ( love them),
and three different prints  of paper along with the ever faithful cardstock.
A flower, button and pearls finished it off .

On the inside, using the negative space from where I die cut the bird, I sponged
his silhouette in the corner.
Thanks for looking.

till next time,
Doni

Hello!

I've got some catching up to do...
Here it goes...

Mondays  CAS (clean and simple) challenge on Splitcoast was to case a card from the gallery of "mamaxsix".
This is her card I chose for inspiration:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2309605?&cat=500&ppuser=132623

This was what I first came up with:

Then I tried to get rid of some of the extra glitter that had escaped to the top of the card ,
and of course I totally messed up the whole card ...so here's what I ended up with:

Ya know , it was just one of those days!

I had to cancel my weekend crop at Zincks in Berlin Ohio, but my daughter, Jennifer went and gave me these three terrific cards that she made. I'd like to share them with you:
love Val!

how cute is this?!

my favorite...this is the front

and this is the inside...too cute!

Thanks for stopping by....
Till next time,
Doni

Warm & Fuzzy

This is Maude.  Maude and I look an awful lot alike....at least in the morning!
Todays challenge on Splitcoast Stampers is to show some warm fuzzy wuzzies,
so I thought of Maude and her fuzzy bunny slippers.

I wanted to use my own words ,so I used the computer. Just in case you've never tried this I'll try and show you just how easy it is.

First Stamp your image on a card size piece of cardstock

Then decide what you want to say and where you'd like to print it.
With this in mind , go to your computer and open up any word program you have
This is a picture of my screen...notice I placed the words about half way down and to the right side of the page.  Pick a font You like...and try to not spend three hours scrolling through your alphabets like I do!
Print this page.

Then, take the printed page and put it on a light box...don't worry if you dont have one, you can hold it up to a window( if it's sunny out) or hold it up to a bright light.

The idea is, you want to put your card front over this printed page  and be able to see the words through it.

That way you can control the placement .  When you have the card front placed over top the words the way you like then use removeable tape to keep it there.

Next step is to just put this taped together sheet back in your printer and press print again.
Tra La.... printed on your card front exactly where you wanted!

Hope you give this a try...it really is easy!

Till next time,
Doni

Val
the cute little
chubby cherub!

Jennifer bought this darling stamp at Archivers the other day and she was nice enough to stamp
a couple of images for me to play with.
You can find this stamp here:

I was dissappointed in the photo of this card. In real life the colors are more intense  and there is sparkle on his wing and a shine and sparkle on the heart. I tried to adjust it in photo shop...however, it would be a lot easier if I had a clue as to what I was doing!!!

Here's the colors I used:
skin     E000, R00
Pants    YG13, VO4
   Bow       E99,   E49
Heart   R29, R59
also use the following Prismacolor pencils:
                                                               cloud blue PC1023
                                                               warm grey PC1052
                                                                    white    PC938
oh, and don't forget glossy accents and super fine glitter

                                        Thanks for looking!

Best Fishes

Today on Splitcoast Stampers the challenge is to follow
this sketch.

Here's the card I created:

I used an embossing folder to get the texture on the blue cardstock.
EK Success circles 1 inch and 1 1/4 inch and the Stampin'Up tiny tag punch
The stamps I used are from Stampin'Up's  Very Puny set.

Here's what else I've been working on:

This challenge was to use die cuts. I just got this die from the Stamp Pad in Zoar.

this card  front says "for he's a jelly good fellow"
and the inside says "that nobody can deepfry"
Cracks me up every time!

this challenge was to use tags or banners

This was another sketch challenge.

If you'd like to check out my gallery on splitcoast stampers,

 till next time,

Snowflakes

Todays challenge on Splitcoast Stampers was "Snowflakes".
This is the card I made:
It really is a pretty soft light green...it's hard to get it to show up on camera!
This was very quick and easy to do...I love my MFT snowflake Die-namics!

Yesterdays challenge was a sketch . I chose to go with a valentine theme:

Thanks for stopping by.

Till next time,

Whoo-Hoo!

Just got this cute stamp for a dollar at Michael's and of course
I've been itching to use it so...

I actually used three sets of stamps to make this card:
However... I can't seem to upload any other photo's right now so we'll get back to ya on this!

Hi again, Ok...so Dear Sweet Daughter Jennifer taught me how to find my Blog photo's
on Picasa ( something new on google)....so all is good untill the next time they add something new!

Like I was saying, These are the three sets of stamps I used:

I bought the zoo stamps because I thought they'd make darling baby cards.
But to make the whoo-hoo! card the monkey was perfect. I stamped him with black Memento Ink on white cardstock, colored him with copics E57, E11,and E95...then fussy cut him out.(when you're done cutting him out,a little black marker around the edges hides any white which makes it look like you cut him out perfectly, which I didn't!

Here's what I did on the inside:

Here's  the cards I made for challenges on Splitcoast Stampers last week:

Well, it's time to go upstairs and feed and water the husband.

Till next time,
Doni
