Today on Splitcoaststampers,
Dina who is the hostess of the Mix-Ability challenge
introduced us to
 How cool is that?
So, keeping this in mind , here is the card I created:
and the inside:
The background was made by stamping Ranger distress inks on watercolor paper and then spritzing with water, then I tore it and "repaired it" by gluing gold fiber in the cracks.
The sentiments are from a stamp set called Remember by Hero Arts.
This was so much fun.
Hope you get a chance to try something new today.

Design Team Challenge

Happy Tuesday!
On SplitcoastStampers the Clean and Simple challenge is having a design team call.
For this challenge we had to use this as our inspiration:
puppy tones
This is my entry:
It really does look better IRL.
I've been trying to wish away the winter by working with spring colors...
Here's a couple of views of the springtime house I've been working on:
I used the Home Made stamp set from Papertrey Ink (2009).
for the flowerboxes I used the die found in the Madison House die set from poppystamps.
The flowers were punched using the McGill designer pine punch and the
 Martha Stewart tiny blooms punch.
Thanks for stopping by.

Painting Hearts

Hi! Winter is socking it to us here in north eastern Ohio!
So glad I'm retired and more than happy to spend the day in my craft room.
Here's what I've been working on:
This little girl is Wren and she is a digi stamp from Tiddly Inks.
I colored her with copics and even though you can't see it in the photo,
there is a little bit of the doodlebug sugar coating on a few of the hearts.
I cut the heart window with My Favorite Things layered heart Die-namics.
The little tiny "love you" is from a stamping bella  stamp called giga watt.
I also made  this card which also is a digi stamp from Tiddly Inks:
Stay safe and stay warm.

Sweet Sunday

This is the sketch  on the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge Blog today:

And here is the card I made:
I enjoyed working with spring colors today...
.I'm trying to forget that we're only half way through this crappy winter!
The sentiment is from Penny Black (2006)
and the Daisies were made using the
My Favorite Things Upsey Dasies Die-namics.

Stay warm and think spring!

Thinking Rainbows

Today  I made this card:

Over on the Less is More blog, the challenge for this week is
a color challenge - the Rainbow.

My thoughts kept going back to this great doodlebug paper with  these pretty rainbow colors.
So, I kept it clean and simple and stamped this great sentiment
from Lawn Fawn Stamps to go with it.

The inside says:

It's your birthday-
And guess what!
You've never been this old before;
But smile and enjoy it,
For guess what's more-
You'll never be this young again!

I've had this stamp for a long idea where I got it!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Till next time,
