Mojo Monday

Today's sketch:
I used the directions for a 3.5 x 5.5" card which fits a regular A2 envelope.
I used a 3.5" x 11" piece of cardstock and scored the long side at 5.5"
Here's my card:
Love these colors...rose-y peach and navy blue.

Less is More

Here is the card I made for the challenge
on the Less is More website.
Here is the sketch:
I just got this die that cuts out tiny flowers from Impression Obsession
(  it's # DIE140-D
I used two nesting circles to give me a circle ring to follow.
As I was adhering it to the embossed paper, I liked the thickness so I cut it out together
and then added another layer for good measure....I like the way this looks on the card front panel.
I punched out the sentiments ( which I printed on the computer)with a Stampin Up punch.
One of the ends I adhered to the ring and on the other end I used a pop dot to keep them level.
After adding all the tiny pink flowers, it needed a little green, so I punched green snowflakes
and cut them apart for the leaf tips.
Whew...who knew clean and simple could be so involved!
Thanks for stopping by today.

Mojo Monday

Today I'm playing along with the
Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.
I'm in a strange mood today, so
my mind went in a funny direction.
This is how I interpreted the sketch:
I wish my hand lettering  looked better...but, hey, it is what it is!
Here's the supplies I used:

This is the card I made for the Inspiration Challenge (IC437)
on Splitcoaststampers  this morning.
Our Inspiration site was the kids section of Marks & Spencer
which is a large department store chain in Great Britain.
I chose this dress:
I  liked the airy random look and the colors of the butterflies.
I looked through my stamps and gathered some butterflies of different sizes.
Chose a generic saying and got to work.  First I stamped the saying in blackand then stamped the butterflies in memento desert sand . This made the butterflies light enough for me to color over with the markers, not just fill in.
Here's a closer look:
Ouch, it doesn't look all that great up that close! Any how , the light blue butterflies were stamped with  SU marker on the stamp instead of ink.
Here's the supplies I used:
I'd like to wish all my Christian friends a very Happy Easter!
