Paper smooches

Check out paper smooches.
This week they are having a Designer Draft challenge, here's the June sketch:
I looked through my paper smooches stamps and couldn't find one I wanted to use...but no worries...they have  a ton of Freebie digi stamps available. I used those to make this card:
I love these bright happy colors!
Thanks for taking a look today.

Less is More

Today's challenge on Less is More is  "Watercolors".
I love the wet on wet look.
It's very easy to do...just get some watercolor paper.
I got a pad of watercolor paper by Canson at Michael's.
Then you spritz some water on the paper and next drop some very
sloppy wet watercolor from the end of your brush to the paper and watch it go!
Thanks for stopping by today.

In the clouds

On Splitcoaststampers there is a challenge on Friday called Free For All.
Today the challenge is to use clouds on your card.
This was a fun. I used the new stamp I bought yesterday at Michael's.

Here are the supplies I used:
I forgot to put the thin pop dots in there.... Love those things!

Color Throwdown

Happy Thursday everyone!
I'm heading to Michaels today because
Art Impressions just released five stamp sets that Michaels will now be carrying.
You can check it out  HERE.
In the meantime, I grabbed a oldie but goodie Ai stamp called Maude.
I'm entering her in today's Color Throwdown Challenge.
Here's the inside:
This also fits the requirements for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week.
Whoot! A two for one day!
Thanks for stopping by.

Pinwheel Buddies

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is sponsored by Art Impressions this week,
so I made this card to try and win some free goodies.
I'm the little short one and the tall one is my BFF Diana.
Can't quite decide if they are taking a picture of themselves or taking a picture of the pinwheel.
The Ai stamp ( picture perfect) has four girls on it, so to get just two girls I had to cut them out.
I pulled the colors from the designer paper...aren't you surprised that I didn't use the light green?
I bought this pinwheel die from Stampin Up a long time ago ...even bought this paper because I had the pinwheel die..and can you believe that this is the first time I've got around to using them!
Thanks for stopping by.

Viva La Verve Sketches

Hope everyone is having a good Friday the 13th!
Today  I've been working on cards for the Viva La Verve June Sketch challenge.
Here's the sketch for week two:
and here's my card:
How cute are those little elephants!
The words on the paper behind the elephants say " you are my happy".
I used the 6x6 paper pad by Teresa Collins by the same name.
The sentiment stamp is from Verve.
Here's the sketch from week one:
This one was combined with a color challenge
Here's what I came up with:
Thanks for looking!

It's good to get back to my blog...sorry I was away so long.
I did have a wonderful vacation , started knitting again ,and joined the quilting
group at church.
Today I'm playing along with the Tuesday challenge on The Cat's Pajamas Blog.
It's a color challenge to use the colors  Kraft, Rose and Vanilla.
Here's my card:

This looks awfully pink on my  monitor, but IRL it is a pretty rose.
I did a lot of paper piecing on this, but the green grass part  didn't look right with a grass die-cut , so I ended up just scribbling in the grass with a dark green marker.
I'm making this card for my daughter to give to a co-worker who is retiring  next week.
Here's what I did on the inside:
This is what it says:
The joy of retirement
is having nothing to do
and all day to do it!
So why is it that I'm retired and still don't have enough hours in the day?
Thanks for stopping by.
