MFT Sketch Challenge 186

I got a box of goodies that I had ordered from My Favorite Things
and so I thought to play along with their Wednesday sketch challenge.
You can check out their challenge HERE.
Here's the card I made:
This card folds at the top. To make it just cut 4 and 1/4" by 11 " and fold in half
I used a stampin up embossing folder for the front panel .
Then I cut a grey panel, added a patterned  paper circle
that I cut with my new pierced circle stax dies.
The flowers were cut using the MFT Flower & Leaf Trio Die.
The HB2U Tag  is a  die that I got free for ordering a certain of course that gives me a reason to order even more stuff, because who doesn't love getting free stuff?!  lol
Thanks for stopping by.
If you want to make my day, leave me a comment..even if it's just to say "HI"

Sweet Sunday Sketch

This morning I'd like to share with you a card that I made
using today's Sweet Sunday Sketch 228.

Here's what the inside looks like:
I paper pieced the cute little guy on the front.
Easy to do...stamp on scrap of base color first and also stamp another one on white .
add shading ... no need to be neat, you're going to cut him out....
because I wanted him to have a pink tongue and white teeth,
I stamped him on white...colored his tongue and cut out the mouth , then
glued it on top of the green one. Then I cut out the green one and popped him
up with thin pop dots on the circle on the card front.
Here's the supplies I used:
and here's a picture of Gracie... who helped with everything!!!
Believe it or not ...this is her smiling!

Viva La Verve

Today's challenge on Viva La Verve is a sketch & an inspiration Photo
You can check it out out HERE
This is my take on it:
The butterfly was cut using my silhouette.
I also used a edge punch and a MFT Die-namics open scallop doily die.
Thanks for Looking!

CAS(E) this sketch

Check out their  website and play along!
Here's the sketch for this week:
Pretty and simple...should be easy to do...right?
Well, I stayed pretty much just like the sketch and found out it's harder than you think
to get the right side exactly like the left side !
You can't tell from the picture, but I used black glitter on the butterfly
and a black glaze gloss pen over top of the flourishes .
the stamps I used are:
Simon Says Stamp- birthday messages
Butterfly by inkadinkado- spring mini assortment
and flourishes by Hampton Arts
The tiny black spots are very small black pearls.
Thanks for Looking!

I love doing the challenges on Splitcoaststampers.
This is the card I made for Sunday's challenge:
You can check her out in my gallery HERE.
I colored her with copic markers. RV69 matched the plaid exactly...yea!
I was not so lucky when it came to the little pearls...but I did find out that you can color them with the markers....Yea, again!
Today the challenge is a CAS color challenge. They picked my favorite colors...double yea!
Thanks for stopping by today.

The cutting Edge Challenge #3

I've been away from my craft room far too long!
Today I'd like to share with you the card I made for
The Cutting Edge Challenge #3.
Here is the inspiration piece:
After many false starts.... mojo where have you gone!....
I ended up going with a monochromatic color design.
I guess if you can't decide what colors to use, pick one and go with it!
My daughter has a birthday coming up soon and her favorite color is Blue,
I die cut three balloons from the white panel and then used copic markers
to color the card front under the cut out spaces.
In my stash I found a product
called waxy flax by scrap works...can't even tell you how OLD this stuff is!
It made great balloon strings.
Then I die cut letters and splashed on some sequins and called it done.
Here's what I used:
