Back To School

Tiddly Inks is having a Design Team call.

Since school will be starting soon, I thought I'd make my granddaughter
a card to wish her well as she starts her first year in High School.

I used a 005 Zig Millennium pen to hand letter the little tag.

Used Glossy accents on her bright red glasses...it's hard to tell in the picture.

I wanted to use the black & white striped paper as a mat , however the
stripes didn't lay right without being mitered.
Mitering is joining the two edges at 45 degree angles to form a 90 degree corner.

I cut strips of the black &  white stripe paper adhering( use removeable adhesive) them to
the panel edges ..overlapping them at the corners.

Lift up the corner of the picture , and with an exacto knife make a diagonal cut ...see the picture above. I put a thin scrap of red paper to show you where to cut.
Throw away what parts you don't need ....you have made a perfect mitered corner!
I hope you try it. It really is easy.

Thanks for stopping by.

'till next time,
Doni
