Did you know that yesterday was National Watermelon Day?
I made this card to play in two DTGD (Dare To Get Dirty) challenges over on Splitcoaststampers.
The paper weaving reminds me of a fence around a watermelon patch.
This was easy to make. Just emboss kraft cardstock with a wood grain embossing folder, then cut into strips and weave together.  You remember from elementary school...under, over, under, over!
Making the little watermelon slice was easy too.
cut a green circle. make rind marks around the edge with black chalk.
Then cut a white circle a little bit smaller and then a red circle a little bit smaller than the white one.
Chalk around the edge of the red circle.
Adhere these three layers together. Then cut in half.
Wa-la.. you've got two watermelon slices ...just add seeds with the brush end of a black marker.
Thanks for looking.
till next time,
