Black & White

Hi!  There is a Black and White Challenge
over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog.
Although it's a little strange to be making a Halloween themed card in April,
this spook-tacutlar set just called out for black and white coloring.
I gave my copic N's a workout!
Keep a smile on your face and have a great day!

Color Throwdown

Love this weeks colors!!
You can join the challenge HERE.
I still had a bright yellow minion on my desk ,so here's what I did with him:
and the inside turned out cute too:
In case you'd like to make your own little minion,
here's how I made mine:
I looked through my dies and picked this one because of the rounded edge that was a good size.
Then I cut away the parts I didn't need. This gave me two minion bodies.
These are the punches I used to make the goggles and eyes.
The smile is just a sliver of a circle and the hair was cut free hand ....
cutting them was easy, gluing them down was a challenge! lol
Hope this helps.

Simon Says

I can't believe how cold it is outside....don't they know I already put away my winter clothes!
Any way, it's a good day to stay warm and happy in my craft room.
Today I'm playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog.
You can check it out HERE.
Today, Simon Says clean and simple.
I've got a thing with birds lately, they're all so dog gone CUTE!
This little guy is a digital stamp I found at From The Heart  stamps.
and of course, I colored him with Copic markers!

Color Throwdown

Broni  is this week's hostess on color throwdown .
She chose one of her favorite color palettes for us to play with this week:
  Teal, Green, Kraft and White

Here's my card:

I had so much fun with this new Crazy Bird stamp and my
water pens and distress inks that I made another card.

Today I'm working on a card for this weeks Less is More challenge
to make a one layer card and include splatters.
Here's what I came up with:
and the inside:
I don't know how you feel, but I like a little more weight to my cards...
so I trimmed this down a little and matted it on green , then layered it to a white card base. I like it better and it feels better when you hold it in your hand.

Sweet Sunday Sketch

For the card I made today, I used the Sweet Sunday Challenge sketch:
and  I also used the colors from the Paper Smooches Picture Perfect Challenge:
Challenge - Inspirational Photo
These colors immediately reminded me of a baby girl ,
so here's the card I came up with:
Hope you like it.

Bottle Tags

April showers bring may flowers...however, it still makes for some dark and dreary days.
so to brighten my mood I've been making wine bottle tags.
Notice the bottle has not been opened. We'll save that for later! :)
I had watched a video on double partial die cutting and wanted to give it a try.
You can watch it HERE.
A fun technique. I did die cut the word cheers again separately
and layered it over the original for a little more dimension.
Here's three of three of the ones I did:

Predominantly Black

Check out Less is More, this week's challenge
is to make a card that is predominantly black.
I LOVE black and white!

I used a die from Simon Says Stamp called Ring Frame
and the sentiment came from a Simon Says Stamp set
called Furry Cat & Box.

The butterfly was cut using my silhouette.
Quite a while ago I cut a bunch of these in all different sizes,
because, well, you just never know when you'll need a black butterfly! LOL!
It's hard to see, but there is a solid butterfly on the bottom and the top butterfly has
lacy wings and I sprinkled her ( yes I'm sure she's a girl!) with doodlebug's
black sugar coating which is a super fine glitter.
The top butterfly is only attached in the center so that the wings
are dimensional.
Thanks for stopping by.

High Hopes guest designer

I know it's April Fool's Day,
but it's no joke that I'm a guest designer on the High Hopes challenge blog!
Here's the card I made:
I love this cute little frog!
You can buy him HERE!
I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black Dye Ink, colored him with Copic Markers,
and fussy cut him out . He needed something to sit on so I drew a lily pad and cut it out.
To finish I used two bright background papers and the die-cut word smile (from  MFT Blueprints 11)
He was so much fun, I made another one:
It just so happens that the Wednesday Challenge Blog over at Simon Says Stamp
is a birthday theme challenge, so I'm going to submit this card over there.
Sure would be nice to win $50 to shop with!

Hope you have a great day!
