OSU Houses

I wanted to share with you some more of the houses I'm making
for the Fall Festival .
My friend Becky suggested I make one for all the Ohio State fans in the area,
so here 's what I came up with:
... addition to any holiday cookie tray. Buckeyes: A Family Tradition
I thought these would be perfect with a big bag of Buckeyes inside...
for those of you not in Ohio, they're really good chocolate -peanut butter candy.
Check out the little footballs in the window boxes:
Whew... I still need to make a bunch more, so I'd better go get busy.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sketch 120

It's a new week and a new sketch at From the Heart Stamps.
I used both the sketch and the twist which was to enlarge and crop the digi image.
The digi stamp I chose is a new release called Peaceful Autumn Wishes.
You can find it HERE.
Is she not the sweetest little kitty ever?!
I colored her with copic markers and used
Memory Box's abc die and Simon Says Stamp's Holiday shapes die
for the sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

It's the last Saturday in September already!
Time for a new challenge at Addicted To Clean And Simple.
Addicted to CAS
Sweet Kobylkin is the hostess and she chose the code word - DREAM.
Here's the card that I was inspired to make:
My two cats ( Bitsy and Gracie ) do a lot of sleeping.
I can only imagine what they dream about.
Here's  what I did for the inside...
I ended up using three different stamp sets.

Here's the card recipe:
  Avery Elle - Furry Friends
Recollections - for the word dream that I white embossed on a strip of black cardstock.
studio g - stamp set for the dream bubble and self adhesive gems used on the pillow.
  Copics - BG53, BG57
  Memento - Tuxedo Black
Ranger Distress Ink - peacock feathers (stamped on acrylic block, spritzed with water,
used as a wet paint to flick on to the card front using a small paint brush tapped against my finger).
Darice - adhesive foam strips used to pop up the kitty and the pillow.
Thanks for looking.
I'd like to encourage you to enter the challenge.
The prize is three free images from our sponsor Scribbles Designs.

Sketch 119

Good morning! Today I'm playing along with sketch 119
I'm using both the sketch and the twist (the spotlight technique).
I love this little Birdbrain guy...He's a digi stamp and you can find him HERE.
The sentiment is my own...seriously watching too much Game of Thrones! lol
I used the abc soup die from Memory Box to cut out the little letters.
Sticking the little letters down can be a little tricky...so here's how I do it.
Place the letters where you want them and then put a strip of removable tape over top of the letters.
Lift the tape....with the letters stuck on and then turn the tape over and put adhesive
on just the back of the letters.
Now position the tape with the letters back on your card and leave it alone till the adhesive dries,
then you can remove the tape.
Much easier than trying to glue and  line up one letter at a time!
Thanks for stopping by.

It's my turn to host the Addicted To CAS challenge.
I thought and thought and finally settled on the code word - LEAVES.
Our sponsor for this challenge is Create a Smile.
The prize is 12.50 euro ( 1 stamp set) to our winner!
Although I don't want to rake them, I do enjoy their beautiful coloring!
So, this is my leaf inspired card:
I chose a tan cardstock for my base, then stamped the leaf with VersaMark
and used black detail embossing powder.
The greeting was printed in word from my computer.
Now comes the fun part...a little bit of Quickie glue pen here and there and then smooshing
some foil metal flakes....I found a baggie full in my stash!
Here's a closer look:
I love the way the light catches them and makes them sparkle in real life.
of course I made a real mess...but that's how I knew I was having fun!!
Just in case you were wondering...
this leaf stamp was made by a company called PSX
and I've had it since 1999.
Thanks for stopping by.
