You Glow Girl

I have a stamp set that I've had for quite awhile and haven't used yet.
It's called Caroline and it's made by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

Here's the card I made:
and I used a MFT stamp set called Grand Greetings for the inside.
I'm entering this card in the Wonderful Wednesday Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie's.
Oh, and I used the colors from this weeks Color Throwdown.
Now all I have to do is wait for someone I know to get pregnant !!!

Sick Chick

It's Monday, so that means it's time for a new sketch at From The Heart Stamps.
I needed to make a get well card, so here's what I came up with:
I just love Birdbrain. Here's a close up of his poor sick self:

It's time for a brand new challenge at Addicted To CAS.
The very talented Ceal is the hostess for this challenge
and she chose the code word SPOOKY.
Here's what I came up with:
I did a lot of sponging with distress inks after first masking off a circle shape.
The inks I used are: fossilized amber, wild honey, and shaded lilac.
I found a spooky looking tree in my stash made by Scrappy Cat
and to that I added some bats and a little pumpkin from other stamp sets.
The inside is pretty simple:
Hope your Halloween is Happy!

Good Monday morning!
Today is sketch challenge #123 over at From The Heart Stamps.
Here's the sketch:
Here's the card I made using both the sketch and the twist.
I wanted just a touch of color to keep the soft look...which I'm happy with,
however, for the life of me I could not get the sewing machine tension adjusted
so that the stitching looked good. Could be that my machine is ancient! lol!

with leaves, I did a banner with spider know, the same only different!
I liked the fall colors so I sponged some on the background .
Here's the recipe:
Paper Smooches- Halloweenies stamp
Distress inks- festive berries and fossilized amber
Zig millennium pen size 05

Born to Sparkle

Today I invite you to visit the Addicted to CAS blog
and get your sparkle on!
This challenge is hosted by the talented Sarah
and sponsored by Happy Little Stampers with a generous $20 gift certificate .
I ended up doing two cards...don't know which I like better.
Here's #1
This little girl is from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps .You can find her HERE.
I typed the sentiment on my computer and colored her with Copics.
I added hot pink sugar coating (glitter) from Doodlebug to the stars on her skirt
and her hot pink petticoat. The cute little green stars are from my stash...
no idea where they came from, but I'm sure I bought them
simply because they were lime green!!!
Here's card #2
Ya gota love self adhesive glitter paper!
Here again I used my computer for the sentiment and
my best friend cut out the word sparkle on her silhouette.
Thanks for stopping by.

Season's Greetings

Just for fun, I made a CAS Christmas card .
I really don't like doing a whole bunch of the same card, so if I start making
my Christmas cards now I might stand a chance of having enough.
I'm entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.
You can check it out HERE.
This weeks challenge is CAS I think I've got that covered.
Before I go back to making houses for the craft fair ....
Here's a picture of my favorite companion, Bitsy:
She's a little lazy this morning!

Sketch challenge #121

A brand new week and
a brand new sketch challenge at
Because I love Birdbrains and Halloween is just around the corner
this is the card I was inspired to make:

I used the Bewitchin Birdbrains digi, only I fussy cut just the birdbrain in the pumpkin
and left off the birdbrain with the broom.
I spent forever deciding on three designer papers that went together, it
really shouldn't take that long, but I have a hard time making up my mind...and gee.. I have to look through every scrap of paper I own!!!
Birdbrain was colored with Copics and popped up with adhesive foam dots.
To keep him from just floating , I anchored him on a black strip arrow and threw in
some black pearl dots and some orange pearl dots just for fun!
No "Twist" for me this week!
Thanks for looking!

October Blog Hop

Welcome to the From the Heart Stamps Blog Hop.
This month there is a meet the Design Team theme.
I'm especially excited,
because this is the first full month that I've been a Design Team member!
We'll be showing you lots of great cards and projects and telling you a little bit about ourselves.
So, as you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog.
One random commenter will be selected on each blog
to win an image of choice from the FTHS store....
and additionally, we will have a game with prizes on the FTHS Blog!
If you have arrived here from Cammy's blog you are in the right place,
if not you can start on the From The Heart Stamps Blog, so
you don't miss anything.
Here is my project:
I made a card and a wine bottle tag combo
using one of my favorite digi's the Birdbrain Wine stamp.
The Happy Birthday sentiment on the bottle tag is from
the Mouse Balloon stamp, which happens to be a FREE download!
How great is that?!
I love being able to size the image to whatever size I need.
One thing I've found helpful when printing an image that you
want to color with Copic Markers is to immediately
heat seal your image with a heat gun .
In addition to Copics,
I used a  wine bottle  tag die and a Celebrate word die, both from Papertrey Ink.
Now, to the get to know me better part. Here are a few facts about me:
How long have you been on the FTHS design team?
—Just joined! This is my very first blog hop ever!

What is your favorite coloring technique?
Coloring with copic markers, I’ve taken classes and earned the intermediate
and the Papercrafting Designer certifications from Copic.

What is your favorite category of images in the FTHS store?
– I LOVE Birdbrain!

What is a good tip for printing digital images?-
Heat seal right out of the printer with your heat gun.

Something about me no team member knows.-
I have a large super bright lime green leather desk chair in my craft room!
Now, head on over to Imke's blog and see what she has created.
Thanks for Hopping with us today,
the hop will end on Monday October 5th at 6am EST.
Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog
on Wednesday October 7th.
'till next time,
