Mice Surprise!

Happy Monday!
Here we go with this week's sketch from FTHS.
I just did the sketch this week.
The twist was to make a masculine card and I think mine is more gender neutral .

I used the Mice Surprise image that you can find HERE.
I colored the image with copics, and used the brush tips
from the different colors to create the plaid in the balloon.
Thanks for stopping by.

Today we have a new code word at Addicted to CAS.
I happened to have Tim Holtz's Crazy Bird Accessories Stamp sitting on my desk
and I noticed that  there was a package that's what I used and came up with this card:

I stamped the packages  with Versamark and then used detail black powder to emboss them.
Then I masked off a vertical panel ( used post it notes to do this), in which  I
did a little rainbow sponging.
I did a really cool inside which I liked so much I kept it
for the front of another card ( see below)...anyhow I made another inside.
Here it is:

Here's the second card :

Getting the box to appear open was achieved with a little masking trial and other words, quite a few gift boxes got trashed before I got the top to meet the bottom right!  LOL!

here's what I did for the inside:

I think I actually like the second card the best!

I hope I've inspired you to join our "GIFT" Challenge.
This great code word  was picked by Deepti
and the sponsor is:

The prize is a $10 voucher to the STAMPlorations Store.

Have fun today!

Today I'm casing this card created by the talented Kathy Stacy.

You can find Kathy's blog about her card HERE.
I really liked the depth of color, and especially the way the background
is lighter around the image and then gets darker toward the edges.

Here's my card using the  Snowman and Cocoa image.

This is the inside:
