Monday means sketch challenge time at
I did the sketch but not the twist this week.

I colored this cutie-pie Birdbrain with copics and used glossy accents on his glasses.
The die cut glasses are from an Impression Obsession die. To give them more dimension I
cut four of each color and glued them together.
Here's a closer look so you can see what I mean:

Today I made a card to link to this weeks challenge

Here's the sketch:

I used the images from a stamp set from DRS Designs and
the sentiment is from a stamp set from Poppystamps called No Truffle At All.
Colored with copics and sponged with distress ink ( antique Linen).

It's good to get an addition to the "guy" card stash!

Flying by

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS.

This great code word was chosen by Jaydee.
Create a Smile is the sponsor this time,
check them out Here.
There are lots of things that fly,
one of those is a kite.
I used a cloud stencil and distress ink to make the sky.
Here's the rest of the supplies I used:
Everything except, right at the last I used clear Wink of Stella to
glitz up the kite a bit.

I hope you can find the time to join us on this challenge.

Thanks for looking.

'till next time.

This week at the Less is More Blog
the challenge is to make a One Layer card
and the theme is Splatters. we go!
But first I need to tell you that I am Green, My desk top is green,
even the monitor has some green splatters!
I am truly dangerous with that spray bottle!!!
I don't think I'll even need to sign this card
when I send it, they'll see
all the lime green and know it's from me!

befor I go, a quick hint  about clean up...
for the green fingertips that the soap and water wouldn't touch,
Whitening tooth paste did the trick!

still HOT!

Monday brings a new sketch challenge from

This week I used the sketch without the twist.
For the three design elements in the upper left of the sketch,
I sponged Red Barn Distress Ink and Wild Honey Distress Ink
over a flame stencil from The Crafter's Workshop.
I did the same technique for the circle  around Birdbrain
( I masked him off first)

Hope you like him!

Circle inspiration

This is the card I created while playing along
with the Saturday Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.

You can check out my Splitcoast gallery HERE.

I think this would look better if I would have stamped
a pretty drsign in some of the larger circles with one shade darker ink.
Maybe next time!
Here's what I did inside:
Thanks for looking!
Gee- two posts in one day!
I'm either on a roll or I really don't want to do any housework today!

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS.

Nothing says aloha like hula dancing.
And nothing could be cuter than Birdbrain doing the Hula.

I started out by watercoloring  some backgrounds. wouldn't believe what a mess I can make!
Anyhow, after they dried, I picked this background and printed the image
where I wanted her and then ran it through the printer again to position the word Aloha.
Thank goodness I have an awesome light box which makes this pretty easy to do.
Then I printed the same image onto white cardstock and colored it with
Copic markers, fussy cut her out and layered her onto the image that
was printed over the watercolor splash. that way I didn't have to worry
about cutting out those stick legs!
You can't see it in the picture, but her flowers and bead necklace sparkle!
I used clear Wink of that stuff!

Be sure and stop by and say hello to our Guest Designer for this challenge .
Her name is Monika Reeck and you can find her blog HERE!

I look forward to seeing your entry into this Aloha challenge.

Prize - $10 voucher to the store

Thanks for stopping by.

Slot Machine Birdbrain

Welcome to the From The Heart Stamps June Blog Hop!

This hop is something special because each of us on the design team
got to request a special image  and Faith designed them especially for us!
So, that means that all the images in the hop will be brand new.
I chose to have a slot machine theme and I love what Faith came up with!

As you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog. One random
commenter  will be selected on each blog to win the featured image on that blog.
How fun is that!

In addition to the images offered on each blog, one very lucky hopper will be able
to work with Faith to create an idea for a specially made image.
Just leave a comment on the FTHS Blog
and say what kind of image you would like if you win the chance.

If you arrived from  Cammy's Blog you are in the right place,
if not why don't you start on the From The Heart Stamps,
so you don't miss anything.

Here is my project using the brand new Slot Machine Birdbrain image:

and the inside:

This was so much fun, I hope you like what I created.

Now head on over to Imke's blog and see
what she has created.

The hop will end on Sunday June 12th at 6 am EST.
Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday June 15th.
Thanks for hopping with us today.

I'm playing along with this week's Color Throwdown Challenge.
The colors are: Kraft, Green and Cream.

I was looking through my printed paper stash and this cream colored paper
caught my eye. The lines and the leaves were already there, so all I had to do was
to add  a little color!
I made this card with my Grandaughter's in mind...I think they're both pretty amazing!
The you is a die cut from Avery Elle.
For the sentiment I used a stamp set from W plus 9 called Unforgettable .
I combined two different sayings by masking off the parts I didn't want with
scotch tape, inking the stamp , removing the tape and then stamping.
Then doing the same steps with the second stamp, that way I got it to say exactly what I wanted.

Thanks for stopping by today.
