Welcome is the new code word at Addicted to CAS.

This challenge is hosted by the lovely Bhavana.
Here's my take on the code word:
I immediately thought of this great sentiment from a stamp set
I wanted to use the tiny houses to represent a neighborhood
but it was a  Memory box die and I didn't want to use it that way,
so I die cut it out of masking paper and used those tiny masks to
make my neighborhood.
After masking off the bottom of the card I sponged away!
One of the great things about the distress inks is the way they react to water.
So. I dipped my hand in water and flicked my fingers and looking background!
I hope it inspires you to play along !
'till next time,

  1. Another fabulous card, Doni! I love how you created a mask with your die...the ink blending on your background is beautiful, and the tiny drops of water is the perfect touch!

  2. Such a beautiful job with the color sponging, so perfect!

  3. Doni. love the colors - perfect sponging and I love that you did this with just the silhouette. Fabulous card

  4. Beautiful coloring.. so perfect. Fabulous card :)

  5. Gorgeous tender colouring in the background. What a great idea to use the dies as mask, have to remember that!
