Ombre'

Welcome to a new challenge from Addicted to Clean and Simple.

Barb chose the word Ombre' for us to use.

Here's my card:

I chose to use a monotone ombre' look.

The color is called ripe persimmon....isn't it yummy!...

It's a distress ink by Tim Holtz.

I started by heat embossing the happy birthday (source unknown for this stamp)

and the balloon (W plus 9- unforgettable stamp set).

Then I masked the balloon and sponged away ...starting at the bottom and

 getting lighter on the way up. Then I masked off everything BUT the balloon and did the same thing.

To finish the card I attatched the sponged panel to some black and white stripe paper,

and centered it on a matching solid color card base. and just for the heck of it I tossed in some persimmon pearls.

This is going to a good friend whose birthday is at the end of the week.
