Sweet Birthday

I had fun this afternoon trying a new (to me) technique.
I don't know what it's called , but I saw it on this week's sketch

When I made my card I turned the sketch sideways:
Here's a closer look :

I used the stamp Ice Cream Dream from Simon Says Stamp
and the sentiment is a stamp from Jillibean soup.
I  used my Misti to make 2 identical card fronts and then
colored them alike with my Copic markers.

The card looked really empty, so I decided to add some sponged circles.
The tricky part was getting them spaced  the same on both card fronts.
Note to self:  next time stamp circles and use the Misti!
Look at the mess I made:

Anyhow, the last step is to die cut the central panel
from one finished panel and pop it up on the other finished card front.
I used a die from My Favorite Things called  "stitched rounded rectangle stax".
Then I cut 4 more out of plain white cardstock and layered them all together
giving me the dimension I wanted.

The last step was to use MFT Blueprint #13 Die and then
adhere the whole thing to a strawberry colored card base.

Thanks for looking!

'till next time,
