My Favorite things - 6x6 paper pack black & white stripes
White embossing powder
Copic Markers

The challenge at the Double D's Blog Challenge is to use butterflies.
They gave us this mood board for inspiration:
I liked the color combo that's on the upper right square.
This morning I got out my distress inks and water spritzer
and played around using the colors,
mermaid lagoon, peacock feathers, mowed lawn, and mustard seed.
When I got done  I was not impressed! It pretty much looked like a big ole mess!
However, the butterflies I die cut from that mess turned out really nice!  go figure!
Here's the card I made:
I used clear Wink of Stella on the butterflies,
but you can't see the sparkle in the picture.

Distress Inks (colors listed above)
Memory Box - Isabella Butterfly Die
Wink of Stella - Clear
Lawn Fawn - Stitched Hillside Borders
Detail White Embossing Powder
Stampin' Up - Rose Wonder (sentiment)

Thanks so much for stopping by.

give me the perfect excuse to spend even more time in my air conditioned craft room!
Like I need a reason!
Anyhow, here's a card I'd like to share with you:

A closer look:

I used the scalloped box die from Lawn Fawn
and the Life Is Good stamp set and matching dies also from Lawn Fawn .

Frame it!

Good morning!

I'd like to share 2 cards I made yesterday.
On the first one I used very soft colors .

I just love this blue footed boobie bird!
The stamp is by Dina Kowal for Impression Obsession stamps.

The next card is a CASE of a card I saw on instagram by Yolanda Garrido.
Here's her card:

 and here's my CASE:

This cute peeking panda is a digi stamp, from
Gerta Steiner. You can get it HERE.

Both these cards fit Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge
for this week which is...Frame It!

Thanks for looking.

Rainbow Cupcakes

Time for a new code word from Addicted To Clean and Simple.
Barb is our hostess and she chose the code word RAINBOW.
I was hungry and naturally my mind went to sweets! lol
So, we have rainbow cupcakes!

And the inside:

I heat embossed the greeting ( white detail embossing powder) on
a black strip. Then I added a very thin border of black & white stripe paper
just because I thought it looked better with than without!

The cupcake stamp is from Lawn Fawn (baked with love)
and colored with Copics.
The inside sentiment is from Stampendous.

To dress up the cupcakes, I used clear Wink of Stella on the tops.
then I remembered these tiny seed beads that I got from
Queen & Co. to use in shaker cards and they just happened
to come in 6 rainbow colors! Bonus!!
I glued them on with a little Glossy Accents.

I think it turned out kinda cute. Hope you like it.
