One Layer

Time for a new code word from Addicted To Clean and Simple.
Barb is our hostess and she chose the code word ONE LAYER
Here's my one layer card:
I used the Dandelion Wishes stamp set from Happy Little Stampers.
Join in this challenge with us and you have a chance
to win a  $20. gift card to the store!

Here's how I made this one layer:
Step one
Tape the edges to create a border

Step 2
Sponge distress inks.
I used scattered Straw, Dried marigold and peeled paint.

 Step 3
To do the Bokeh technique I made my own stencils
out of plastic and circle dies of different sizes.
I used Hero Arts Unicorn pigment ink to sponge
inside the circle stencils.

Step 4
Remove the tape and stamp your image in black,
add a sentiment ( also in black)
 and mount the finished panel(5 1/2 by 4 1/4 )
onto a card front.

Here's what I learned from making this card,
it would be better to let the white pigment ink
dry completely before you stamp over it.
Take another look at my card and see how crisp
and bright the sentiment looks as compared to the dandelions.
Live and learn!

Halloween 'Trick or Treat' night for our town is this Saturday,
so I bought candy to pass out...the kind I like (Reeses).
This may not have been such a good idea....I've already eaten three!

So to keep my hands busy, I made this card:

The Boo stamp is from Craftsmart  (Michaels Dollar Bin)
the pumpkin shapes were printed from clip art colored solid black and fussy cut
then bordered in white to make them stand out and fussy cut again.
I cut the faces with my exacto knife and added Wink Of Stella to them
for a little bit of sparkle.
 a side view:
The panels were sponged with Distress Ink.
Candy Apple, Salty Ocean
Mowed Lawn and Mustard Seed.

The pumpkins and the Boo! were popped up with foam squares.

I'm entering this in these challenges:

Have a great week!
