Snow Globe

Hi everyone! It's Doni here bringing you a Snow Globe Christmas card.

To start I stamped the images I wanted from the Lawn Fawn Ready- Set- Snow set,
Colored them with Copic markers and cut them out using the matching dies.

As you can see ( on the left side of the picture above), I also cut a mask from some thin white paper.
I used this to sponge the snow globe sky.

Next, just add the  finished stamped images to globe.

Now create a card front to add the globe onto. This is what I did:

 The finished card:

Below, you'll find the list of the dies I used with links to the Dies R Us Store for your convenience.

It Moose be Christmas

I'm mixing it up today and using both the colors and the sketch which I have turned sideways.
Here's my card:
I've had this stamp set from Sweet Pea Designs for quite awhile, but it's one of my favorites.

In fact, I used this cute little Moose on this card I made this morning:

Dear Santa

Exciting news, I'm a brand new member of the Dies R Us Inspiration Design Team!
This is my first card:

These are the dies I used:

Lawn Fawn - Snowfall Backdrop: Landscape Die

Impression Obsession - Dies - Santa On Roof

Penny Black - Dies - Winter Cheer

Memory Box - Dies - Open Studio - Wrapped Stitch Frames

I started with the Snowfall Backdrop die which is a landscape die, but I wanted to use it vertically.

So, first I die cut the Snowfall Backdrop, layered it over white card stock, then cut the panel down to the size of the black frame I was using.

I cut the Dear Santa twice, once out of red glitter paper, again out of black card stock and then layered them together for a shadow effect.

I'm entering this over at the Merry Little Christmas Blog.

I'm playing along with The Sisterhood Of Crafters .
They would like us to Share A Little Humor , so here's what I have to share:
This cracked me up when I first saw it at a Stamp show, it's a
Funny Bones stamp # RWD-226By Riley & Company.

The paper was in my stash, so I have no idea where it's from, but it was perfect for this card!
It's hard to tell from the photo, but the humorous panel is popped up with foam tape.

I love easy peasy !

Penguin with presents

Wow, the first of November! Time to get cracking on the Christmas cards!
Here's one I made using  the Sweet Holiday Penguins stamp set from My Favorite Things.

I started by by stamping the penguin with the stack of presents on his head.
Then I made a mask for him by stamping him again on Inkadinkado stamping mask paper.

Then stamped the package on the left and another set of packages
(from MFT Jingle All The Way set) on the right . I made masks for them too.
Keeping the masks on I taped scrap paper across the bottom of the images and
sponged on some Distress ink. ( Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Mustard Seed).
When done sponging I removed the scrap paper added the stamped sentiment, removed the masks
and started to color with Copic markers....The fun part!

Here's a closer look:

The finished panel was framed with a Memory Box Die called" Wrapped Stitched Frames"
cut to size and the mounted on a card front size piece of printed paper from
the Holiday Cheer 6x6 Card Stock pack from Sunny Studio.

 Here's what I put inside:

Thanks for taking a look.
