Candy Corn

Hi!

About this time last year, I ordered this cute little stamp
and today was the first time I used It.

I actually made three cards. The first one is a box card:

and here's the other two:
These were really fun to make, and since I colored and fussy cut a ton of candy corns
I have a lot left over to make even more cards.

Where there's a will there's a way,   after all one can only watch so much TV!!!!!

Here's my card:

Art Therapy

Hi!
I still have my arm in a sling to keep my new shoulder from moving ,
giving the soft tissue time to heal... but I figured a way to be able to color.

I pulled out the stack of drawers that are usually under my craft table, and
that was the perfect height to use my right hand to color without moving my shoulder....yea!

It's slow going but Here's some of the cute images from the
Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes stamp set ( My Favorite Things)
that I colored this week.

I'm going to make a box card with them,
however that may have to wait till I can use two hands!

Friends

Hi!
This will be my last post for about 8 weeks. I fell 2 weeks ago and dislocated and fractured my shoulder. It just will not stay in the socket so tomorrow I'm getting a brand new shoulder.
I won't have any new cards to post, but I will be checking in a lot so feel free to leave lots of messages. I'm getting much better using the curser left handed...lol
love,
Doni

I got the idea for this card from the Meow You Doin' stamp set from Lawn Fawn.
The sentiment on the bottom says Let's Be Friends Furever, however the letters are all the same size
and I wanted to use the friends die cut which is way larger.
so this is what I did:
I used the "s" from the sympathy die. Cut both dies out of the same color ,
cut off the letter and add it to the word and the problem is solved!
Here's what I used to make this card:

Poppystamps - Dies - Friend Folksy Script
Lawn Fawn - Meow You Doin' Stamps

Lawn Fawn - Meow You Doin' Dies

Lawn Fawn - Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames Dies

Don't forget to come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog. There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store

somewhere on your project, I'll be happy!

Here's my cute little doggie, basking in the sweet summer sunlight:
I used:
Penny Black - doggone cute
The Alley Way Stamps - All about you

Smile

ere today with a card that I hope will make you SMILE!

One of the tips  I have for you today is: Never throw away interesting scraps!

Even though I've cut many things from this paper already...I still found room to cut the Smile!
(paper made with distress ink smooshed on glossy paper)

Another tip is to layer dies cuts together for added dimension, in this case I used 4 layers.

Notice how the dots from the i are stuck on some removable tape, believe me those
little stinkers can just up and disappear on you!!!

To finish this card all I had to do was cut a panel from some pretty rainbow paper
add it to a Black A2 size card base, add the " Smile" and finish it off with a sentiment strip
that I white heat embossed on black paper.

This is what the inside looks like:
I used the Stamp set from Sugar Pea Designs for the inside
 and these from DRU:
Impression Obsession - Dies - Smile

Zig 2-Way Glue Pen - Squeeze & Roll

Don't forget to come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog. There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.

Imke is our hostess and she would like to see stitching either real or faux.

I chose to do the faux stitching.

I used these two stamp sets:
Lawn Fawn - Sewn With Love  & Sugar Pea Designs - Knit Wit

To all of you who sew.....May your bobbin never be empty!

Rad Roses

 Hi!
I'm joining in on the fun with the ANYTHING GOES challenge
over at Paper Smooches!
I'm lovin' this Rad Roses Die from Paper Smooches.
It's hard to see in the above photo, but the flowers have a really pretty shine to them.
I got the cool colors and neat shine by die cutting the Rad Roses from
glossy paper that I had smooshed in distress ink. Like these:
This is so easy to do:
I use my glass matt and smear some distress inks around, spray with water and then smoosh the glossy paper around on it till you like it!

Hope you give it a try!

'till next time,
Doni

Butterflies

Hi!
Happy Wednesday!
There is a new challenge up at Little Red Wagon.
This week Brenda is the hostess and her theme is Happy Repeat Day!
She challenges us to create a card using one of the elements more than one time.

I used the butterfly three times.

Here's what I did on the inside:

The other day, I spent the afternoon playing with watercolors.
I made a big mess and ended up with a bunch of papers with colors smooshed
all over them. Amazing how when I put the butterfly die cut over them they looked much better!!
So that's what I did....glued the butterflies down
and then cut them out as close to the butterfly as I could.

Supplies used:
Memory Box - Leavenworth Butterfly Trio
                             (used only the large butterfly)
My Favorite Things - sentiment from Beary Special Birthday
Stampendous - Inside sentiment
4mm sequins assorted colors

Thanks for looking.

'till next time,
Doni

Tacos

Hi!
Today I'd like to share a birthday card that i made for the
Dies R Us Blog.

This card was easy and fun to make, especially if you love to color!

Start with random stamping. Easy to do because there is no wrong way.
I used Copic Markers.  YR21, YR24, and E55 make a yummy looking Taco shell!
On the inside of the taco have some green for the lettuce, red for tomato and yellow for cheese.
The party hats can be any color...I think next time I do this, I'll make each hat a different color combo.
This is what I used to make this card:
Lawn Fawn - Year Nine Stamps

Thanks

Hi!
Happy Wednesday!
There is a new challenge up at Little Red Wagon.
This week the theme is "Much Ado About Nothing".
Jan would like to see cards that aren't for a specific occasion.

Here's what I made:
This is pretty simple.
I cut the "Thanks" once out of black cardstock and
the matching background die 4 times out of white.
I embossed the black one with VersaMark and clear embossing powder
then layered them all together for some great dimension.
supplies used:
Sue Wilson Designs - Linear Leaf
Simon Says Stamp - Thanks
Simon Says Stamp - Tiny Words

Hope you like it!

Thinking of You

Hi everyone!
 Today and I have a
lovely no special occasion card to share.
I love the dimension of the sentiment banner and hopefully
you can see the little bit of shimmer
I put on the open parts of the leaves in this closer look:

Oh well, maybe not so much.... you can see way more sparkle IRL.

Below are the supplies I used to make this card:

Sue Wilson Designs - Background Collection - Linear Leaf

Time for a new challenge over at Little Red Wagon.
  I'm the hostess this week.
The theme I chose is summer fun.
That means  what you all like to do for fun in the summer,
such as: boating, swimming, catching frogs, playing with squirt guns,
making somemores...well you get the idea!
Here's what I like to do....eat! lol :)

Hope you can pop over to Little Red Wagon
and play along with us.

Sea it

Hi!
Happy Wednesday!
There is a new challenge up at Little Red Wagon.
This week Imke challenges us to create a card about the sea.

I found two little fishies that like to swim in the sea!

I've named them Clyde and Rufus!  lol
I created the background by sponging Distress Ink-salty ocean, chipped sapphire and seedless preserves onto the bottom right corner then flicking some water onto it.
The fishies are from Rubbernecker stamps. I stamped them on white , colored with Copic Markers and then fussy cut them out. Hard to tell from the picture, but they have black glaze gloss for their eyes and Wink of Stella on their fins. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp - Best Fishes.
I can't wait to see all your underwater treasures!
'till next time,
Doni

Mr. & Mrs.

Hi!
I'm playing along with today's CAS Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.
The theme is June Weddings.
I don't have any weddings to go to this month,
but it will be nice to have a card ready to go when I do need it!

supplies used:
 Cuttlebug embossing folder - oxford
Tutti Designs Die- stitched nesting hearts
Sue Wilson craft dies - Mr & Mrs
Simon Says Stamp - Holiday Shapes (tiny hearts)
Embossed vellum
holographic glitter paper

Instead of using foam tape to pop up the large heart shape
I cut out 5 hearts and glued them all together.
....I have TONS of scrap white card stock, so this is quite cost effective!

'till next time,
Doni

Hello

Hi!
Today I'm sharing a CAS summer scene.
I just love this cute garden gate die from Memory Box and the sweet cats from
Impression Obsession's are just the right size to sit on and beside it.
Add a little snip-it of basic grass and a few little flowers to complete the scene.
Here's how I made the flowers look so sweet:
As you can see the tiny little flowers are flat. To give them dimension,
place them right side up on some fun foam then gently press down in the center with
an embossing tool. This curves the petals up. To finish I added a seed bead in the center.
I used glossy accents for this, but any adhesive that dries clear would work.

I placed my scene in the lower left of the card front. This left lots of room for
whatever sentiment you would want to use.
I used The Hand Lettered Hello stamp set from W plus 9.
After it was all done, I noticed that the
white gate on the white card base was a little hard to see so I outlined the right sides of the
gate boards with my B00 Copic Marker. I think it did make the gate stand out a little.

Below are the supplies I used to make this card:

Guy Card

Hi!
Today I'm sharing a card I made for the Addicted To Stamps Challenge
Danoesja chose "For a Boy or Man" as this month's theme.

I used two stamp sets. Shark Bites and Shark Frenzy,
both by Newton's Nook Designs.

This is definitely not a girly fru-fru card!

Here's what I did on the inside:

Can you hear the music from the movie "JAWS"
duunnn dunnn... duuuunnnn duun... duuunnnnnnnn dun
You can listen to it here

This was a fun card to make!

'till next time,
Doni
