Birthday flowers

Hi!
Happy Wednesday!
There is a new challenge up at Little Red Wagon.
This week  JanR is challenging us to make our InLinkz board
into a Floral Frenzy!
You can use just one flower or a bunch.

Here's my contribution:
The flowers are from BoBunny - simply flowers stamp.
The stripe paper is from My Favorite Things.

Here's what The inside looks like:

Oh, and I used Wink of Stella on the flowers. Here's a close look of the front:
They look real pretty and sparkly IRL
Hopefully you can find time to try your hand at making a flower card.

'till next time,
Doni

pink to yellow

Hi!
I like to design cards. Creating makes me happy!
However, sometimes you see a card
and you just want to make one just like it!
.....and even when you're trying to copy,
it always ends up a little different...but that's good!

That's what I did today :)
Now here's Debby Hughes' card:
Video taking a first look at the new Daniel Smith watercolor sets and using them to create soft, muted watercoloured backgrounds for crisp white die cuts using dies from the new Diecember release from Simon Says Stamp. Mother's Day

Hi Everybody!
Today I'd like to share a clean and simple card celebrating Mother's Day.

I have a lovely patch of Lily Of The Valley growing in my side yard.
This time of year everything outside is turning green and coming back to life,
so that's why I chose green and white for this card.

To make this card I cut a green rectangle 2 inches by 4 1/2 inches and then matted it on a shade lighter green mat. I added three more rectangles under this to build it up for some dimension.

Next, I die cut the flower from white cardstock and placed it on top of the green mat. Can you see how the top little bells hang over the edges?

To finish the card, cut one panel of the Quilted Backdrop from Lawn Fawn and trim off a quarter inch from each side. Then position this on  a solid green card base (A2 Size- 4 1/2 by 5 1/4 inches).

Now, before you pop the rectangle with the flowers onto the card front attach a greeting of your choice onto the front.  I chose to stamp a small happy Mother's Day in Versifine ink onto a strip of vellum and heat emboss it with black fine detail embossing powder.  I liked the look of the vellum and it was easy to just wrap the strip around and attach it on the back with tape.

Put it all together and now you're done!
I think a Happy Birthday greeting would also work well...or perhaps use shades of light grey and white and use the sentiment, with sympathy.

Below are the supplies I used to make this card:
Lawn Fawn - Quilted Backdrop Dies

Impression Obsession - Dies - Lily Of The Valley

Don't forget to come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog. There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store

Birthday Flowers

Hi Everybody!
It's time for a new challenge at Addicted To Stamps.
Darlene chose "FLOWERS"  as the theme for challenge #174.

Here's what that inspired me to create:

Here's what I used:
I love this big bold sentiment from Picket Fence Studios and I thought these flowers
from Simon Says Stamp went well because of the black bold outlines.
The only problem was that I wanted the flowers to curve a little more to fit around the letters....
so fussy cutting to the rescue!!
A little tip I learned was after fussy cutting run a black marker around the edges...waa-laa.. then you don't see any white spots and it looks like you cut it out perfectly!
I hope you like it.

Black & White

Hi!
Happy Wednesday!
There is a new challenge up at Little Red Wagon.
This week  Kate is challenging us
to create a card featuring Black and white animals such as;
pandas, penguins, zebras - even cats or dogs!
I chose this weird dog from Tim Holtz .

I put patterned paper from my stash on the background..
Made a black frame using Square dies from Avery Elle..
used white detail embossing and red cardstock
to make the sentiment ( from Paper Smooches).

I used my computer  to print this sentiment on the inside:

Here's a closer look at the front:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is a Birthday theme this week, so I'm
linking up with this card.

Sprinkled with Love

Hi everybody!
Today I'd like to share a Baby Shower card.
Have you heard of having a Sprinkle instead of a Shower to welcome a new baby?
This is the third baby, so they have all the major stuff.
This is what I used to make this card:
Top row is an A2 white card base, a card front panel
of designer paper and a sentiment strip created on the computer

Middle row is 4 rectangles stacked together, a panel where I softly sponged some clouds
with distress ink, and a Lawn Fawn scalloped rectangle frame.

Bottom row is two die cut umbrellas that I colored with copic markers.
For added dimension they are also stacked 4 deep ( only the top ones are colored).
Tiny hearts from my stash finished it off.
Below are the supplies I used to make this card:
Lawn Fawn - Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames Dies
Impression Obsession - umbrella

I hope I was able to inspire you to use your dies, create a project and come play along at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for a chance to win a gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store.

Happy Birthday

Hi!
I made this card to play along with My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge .
Here's the sketch

and here's my version of it:

The background was made using Ken Oliver's Color Burst.
The package says it's a concentrated micro fine watercolor powder.
So all I did was spray the cardstock with water and sprinkle on a tiny bit of powder.

I used MFT 's It's a mice time to celebrate.

Thanks for looking.

'till next time,
Doni

Prickly Things

There's a new Challenge over at Little Red Wagon.
This week Brenda chose the theme "Everything Coming Up"
(use some kind of flora; cactus, plants, flowers, trees fruit).
I was looking through my stamps and came across this  one with cactus plants on it.
It was a freebie stamp from My Favorite Things back in September of 2018,
so I thought it was a good time to get it inky!

I also got to make use of some watercolor samples I did a while back.

Here's what I did on the inside:
I'm not sure who you'd send this to,
but...hey, if it's needed I've got it covered!

I hope you can join our challenge this week.
Head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up.
And, while you're there, be sure to check out the fantastic projects the other Girlfriends have created.

I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

Easter is in just a few days, so This card won't make it in the mail till
next year. But that will be nice to be extra early and not late for a change!

This card was inspired by the mood board over at

I love this die that I just got from Simon Says Stamp.

Here's
 a closer look:

that's striped paper underneath ..and the white base is 4 layers deep.
Pretty and easy to do...a winning combination!

The sky is the limit

Hi Everybody!
It's Wednesday and time for a new Challenge at Little Red Wagon.
This week  Jan wants us to  Look Up, Way Up .....
so our card can have anything in the air like.... birds, balloons, airplanes etc.
I chose to use this sweet design called Up and Away by Stacey Yacula.
You can find it over at Purple Onion Designs.
I stamped the image and then realized that I wanted to sponge on some clouds,
so I had to make a mask of the whole image....sure would have been easier to do the
sky first and then stamp over it! lol
Now it's your turn to join us.
Head over to Little Red Wagon
check out  the great cards from the other “Girlfriends” and link up your own project.
"till next time,
Doni

April Showers

Hi Everybody!
It's Wednesday and time for a new Challenge at Little Red Wagon.
I'm super excited to be a brand new girlfriend on their design team.

This weeks challenge is "April Showers". You can explore ideas about water or rain
or  use water as a technique such as watercoloring or using Brusho's.

Here's my take on April Showers:

I used the Rainy Day Play stamp set from Clearly Besotted.

If you'd like more inspiration be sure to check out
the wonderful projects the Girlfriends have created over at the Little Red Wagon.

I'm also joining in with the fun over at The Sisterhood Of Crafters

Loads of Fun

Hi!
Today I'd like to share with you a card I made for friends that
just announced that they 're expecting a baby!

The inside says Congratulations on your big, tiny news.
I used two lawn fawn stamps to make this card, they are linked below.
I started by stamping the washer and using a small circle die to cut out the window .
Behind the opening I attached clear acetate because I want to make this a shaker.
Using Copic Markers I colored the washing machine and some really sweet baby clothes.

Next I assembled the shaker by arranging the clothes and bubbles ( oh yes, I almost forgot..
I used a third Lawn Fawn stamp just for these bubbles!) on to a white background.
next, add some shaker tiny beads and make sure everything fits inside the washer window.

Cut out the washer and add foam tape on the back. Place the washer over your
clothes and bubbles and trim to fit under the washer. Now your shaker is finished and the last step is to make a card base to put it on, stamp a sentiment and you're done!
Below are the supplies I used to make this card:
Lawn Fawn - Loads Of Fun Stamps

Lawn Fawn - Little Bundle Stamps
 Lawn Fawn - Rub-A-Dub Stamps

Have a Magical Day

Hi!
Doni here today with a very dimensional any occasion card.
I love these sweet images. That's where you start , by coloring a bunch of images.

Then to create the dimensional frames I used the stitched rectangle layer die from Memory Box
and cut 4 of the largest die chosen.
I used all the same color on my card, but so it will be easier to see on the demo I used 4 different colors.

Then cut a different size rectangle from the center of each panel leaving the last one solid.

Now you're ready to stack them up starting at the bottom. For more dimension, just add foam tape
to the back of each frame like I did in my card.

Arrange your colored images to look cute and then place the finished panel onto a card base and your done!

These are the supplies I used with links to the Dies R Us Store for your convenience:
Lawn Fawn - Fairy Friends Stamps

Memory Box - Dies - Open Studio - Stitched Rectangle Layers

I hope I was able to inspire you to use your dies, create a project and come play along at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for a chance to win a gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store.  A new challenge begins on the first and fifteenth of every month.  Be sure to Follow Us on Facebook too and don't forget that you will find loads of inspiration on our Pinterest Page.
