Today's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is to use green, black and gold.
The desert is anything goes ( think out of the box).
Well, those colors and the time of the year coming up made me think of St Patrick's Day.
However, needing to think out of the box, I made a Thank You Card! lol!

I used the Peppini Oval Frame Die from Poppy Stamps, cutting it first from
gold sparkle paper and then laying a dark green frame
( with the inside pieces & parts punched out) over top of the gold.

The Thanks was die cut using a die from Papertrey Ink ( Uncorked Stamps & die set).

Gnome box

So, since I had colored a bunch of Gnomes and I love to make box cards it only
makes sense to combine the two.

So that's what I did today.
As luck would have it  Back to Basics and Beyond has a challenge calling for box cards.
Guess where I'm linking to!

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi everyone!
Today I made a cute Valentine card to share with you.

I used the Lawn Fawn stamp called Let's Toast to make this very quick and easy card.
Don't you just love those sweet little smiley faces?!

Gorjuss Hello

Today I'm sharing a card I made for the Addicted to Stamps challenge.
This month aNNie chose the theme " anything but a square".

I decided to try my hand at doing a rocker card:
Here's the supplies I used:

I like the way the card turned out, however I did learn something important.
Because I wanted her to look like she was sitting on the fold,
I die cut the Papertrey Die shape out of white cardstock and
stamped and colored her with Copics markers. Then I fussy cut the areas below
the line she's sitting on and then attached this background shape
to the back of the folded circle gluing her legs to the front of the circle.

Well, looks great...but to be able to open the circle to write a message
you would be folding the image in half ( not sure I would like that!)
Could be why all the other rocker cards I saw had the smaller shaped attached on the front!
Duh! Live and learn I guess!

Color Challenge

I have the honor of being a Guest Designer for February over at SplitCoast Stampers
on their Color Challenge.  This week Stef has chosen night of navy, blushing bride, very vanilla
and a metallic of your choice. The desert option is to use a die cut or a punched element.

Here's what I came up with:
I really like the look of the gold embossing on the soft pink vellum.
( I don't even want to think about how old that vellum is!)
here's a closer look:

I hope you're inspired to play along with this challenge.

Valentine's Day Shaker

It's my turn to do a tutorial for Dies R Us.
I had fun making a heart shaped shaker card.

Here's some of the supplies I used :

My first step was to die cut a 4 inch Dotted Square from designer paper.
Then I cut out the heart shape from the center.

Next step is to adhere clear acetate onto the back side.

Then I wanted to layer the shaker front onto a 4 1/2" pink square,
so I needed to remove the center so you could still see through the heart.

To make it a shaker, use foam tape on the back ( I used 2 layers).

cut a piece 4 1/2' square out of whatever paper you want
to see behind your heart (I used plain white) and sprinkle all your  shaker goodies in the center.
remove the covering from the foam tape on the back of the heart
and center that panel over this and the shaker part is done! Hurray!

Attach the love die cut to the shaker front and then put the whole thing

Thanks for stopping by.
