Have a Blast

Hi!
This week at Little Red Wagon  Brenda wants to see to see our space related creations.

Here's mine:
A while ago I made a bunch of galaxy backgrounds using distress inks,
water sprinkles and flicks of white acrylic paint. This is one of them.
All I had to do was add the spaceship and white emboss the sentiment.

I used the stamp set from My Favorite Things called Space explorer.

Stop over at Little Red Wagon.....I'm a brand new member of their Design Team!

Mother's Day

Hi everyone!
I have a sweet Mother's Day card to share that I made for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.

I kept the background colors soft using layers of soft greys and white.
This gives the pretty pot of flowers more "punch".
Here's how to make them extra special by doing a little extra die cut coloring:

On the top are the die cut pieces. On the bottom are the die cut pieces with a little shading
done with Copic markers which are listed on the left. You also could add color with
inks or chalk or colored pencils, or watercolor crayons or...well you get the idea!

I die cut the center frame three times and glued them together for extra dimension.
I used vellum behind the frame because I liked the way it let the pretty background show through.

Below are the supplies I used to make this card:

Lawn Fawn - Quilted Backdrop Dies

Memory Box - Dies - Open Studio - Wrapped Stitch Frames

I hope I was able to inspire you to use your dies, create a project and come play along at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for a chance to win a gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store.

Thinking of You

Hi!
Today I'd like to share a card I made for the Dies Are Us Inspiration Blog.

Sometimes a die is so beautiful it just needs to be showcased.  That's how I felt when I saw this Umbel Butterfly die from Memory box.

Here's what I used to make this card:

The background piece is from when my friend Darlene showed me how to "smush"
Ranger Distress Inks.  I die cut two Umbel Butterfly's , keeping all the background pieces in on one of them( a little tape on the back helps keep them there).

Now all there is to do is assemble the layers! Easy Peasy!

I hope I was able to inspire you to use your dies, create a project and come play along at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for a chance to win a gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store.  A new challenge begins on the first and fifteenth of every month.  Be sure to Follow Us on Facebook too and don't forget that you will find loads of inspiration on our Pinterest Page.
