Boo!

Hi!
It´s Wednesday and time for a brand new Challenge at Little Red Wagon.
The topic chosen by Imke this week is anything scary for Halloween.

So...OK, this little ghost is more cute than scary...but I like him!

Everything on this card came from my  scrap stash.
I remember the background paper is from when  Jennifer and I had the
Scrapbook Shop. That was ten years ago!  Wow, time flies.

Hope you can play along with us this week.

'til next time,
Doni

Retirement

Hi!
It´s  Challenge time over at Little Red Wagon.
The topic chosen by Kate this week Is " Don't forget about me!"
You can make a card along the lines of ...farewell, bon voyage, or retirement...
You get the idea.
Here's what I made:

Pretty easy...but I thought between the style and the colors that it
would work for  either a male or a female.

Here's what I used:
Whimsy Stamps - Happy die cut
computer generated sentiment
matching enamel dots from my stash

Thanks for stopping by.
'til next time,
Doni

Get Well

Hi!
I'd like to share a card with you.
This morning early, I was looking around over at Splitcoast Stampers
and Monday's clean and simple challenge was to make a get well card.

Here's what I came up with:

I am also entering this over at The Paper Players.
Today they are featuring a clean-and-simple challenge by LeAnne.
She requests that we "Say It loud" by making a large sentiment the
focal point of your card.
I think this card fits both of these challenges pretty well!

I used a Paper Smooches - Get well phrase die
and the little flower is from Lawn Fawn.
All the color stripes are scraps.
I started off by making the stripes straight across the card,
but as I was assembling them to see what color to put where
my cat bumped my hand and schooched one side smaller.
I kinda liked it , so i made it look neater and went with it!
stacked three deep for some great dimension.

Thanks for looking!
till next time,
Doni

Birthday Gift Bag

Hi!
My sister-in-law is in town for a visit this weekend.
Her birthday is next week, so I made this to put her present in.
The lettering is really pretty...here's a closer look:

The letters were die cut from some glossy paper that I inked and splattered
using the Happy Birthday Script die from My Favorite Things .

This is perfect for their Birthday Project Challenge this month.
Check it out HERE!

Thanks for looking!
till next time,
Doni

Something Wicked

Hi!
Today I'd like to share a card I made for the Double D Challenges.

The theme is silhouettes and since it's late October
this is what I came up with:

I used the Tree Frame wafer die from Simon Says Stamp and
the sentiment is  from a Studio G stamp that I found at Michaels.
The purple background is from my pile of watercolor messes ( I call them messes because
that's what they look like till you find a place to use them!)

Also entering this over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
where the theme this week is Halloween.

Thanks for looking!
till next time,
Doni

Oh, Nuts!

Hi!
I tried something new today.
Making a long card...one that might fit into a business sized envelope.
I was inspired by the Your Next Stamp Blog.
Their challenge this time is " go long".
Ok...this was fun , but I don't think I'll make too many long cards!

'till next time,
Doni

Birthday Bear

Hi!
It´s Wednesday and time for a new Challenge at Little Red Wagon.
This week Brenda wants to see Teddy Bears.

He's a cutie from My Favorite Things called BB Beary Special Birthday.
Yellow cake with strawberry frosting - YUM!

Here's a closer look:

and here's how I finished the inside:

Sorry, I don't remember where that sentiment came from.
I came across it in my digi file!

Now it's your turn.
Head over to Little Red Wagon,
check out the lovely creations from the other “Girlfriends”
and link up your own project.

'till next time,
Doni

Happy Thanksgiving

Hi!
Check out Addicted To Stamps Challenge.
For challenge # 178  Sai chose the theme today -- add pumpkin!

Here's what I came up with:

I wanted to try no line coloring, so I stamped this cute little girl sitting on a pumpkin
in Memento Desert Sand ink. I also stamped and cut out a mask of her so that I could add some other pumpkins around her...after all, Sai did say to add pumpkin!  lol
I need lots more practice but like my daughter said "it looks like a painting".

Supplies used:
My Favorite Things - Fall Friends
My Favorite things - Witch way is the candy
Lawn Fawn - Happy Harvest
W plus 9 - Sunshine Layers
Memento - Desert Sand
Memento - rich cocoa
Copic markers

I'm looking forward to seeing what all you all
create by adding pumpkin!

'till next time,
Doni

Healing Hugs

Hi!
It´s Wednesday and time for a brand new Challenge at Little Red Wagon.
The topic chosen by JanR  this week Is " cut it out" !
By that she means use die cuts or fussy cutting.

My card is made using lots of die cuts.
I think it's fun to combine elements from different stamp sets
and different companies to get new looks.

Here's what I used:
Poppy Stamps - Massa Leaf Background
Simon Says Stamp - Healing Hugs
Mamma Elephant - Framed Tags
My Favorite Things - Blueprints #13

Thanks for stopping by.
'til next time,
Doni

Pumpkin Season

Hi!
It´s Wednesday and time for a brand new Challenge at Little Red Wagon.
I'm the hostess this week and I chose the theme "Pumpkin Party".
Anything goes as long as there is a pumpkin involved!
I actually made two cards this week...same idea, only a little different.
Here's the first one:

and a side view, hopefully you can see the dimension a little better:

The next card I made to enter in Double Dee Challenges
and they requested using only orange and white:

I was really excited when I came across this background paper in my stash.

Hope you have time to make some pumpkin cards this week!

'till next time,
Doni
