Blue

Happy Wednesday, everybody!
The challenge this week is Blue!"
Anything goes as long as it has some blue.
The sentiment and the card base look black in the photo,
but they're actually Navy Blue.
Here's what I used:

The stencil (source unknown) for some reason had eyeballs in the center???
I didn't want them so I just taped over them.
The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

If you want more inspiration be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.  Then head on back here and link up your project.

Can't wait to see what you create!

Keeping busy

Hi!
I hope all of you are staying safe.
I have no problem keeping safe and just staying home.
However it is a bit of a challenge when you live alone,
I am now talking to myself when I walk past a mirror. lol

Anyway, my creative mojo seems to be absent right now,
so I've been looking through my pinterest boards at cards that I've saved.

I liked a card by Christine ( you can see her post HERE
https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Uxkr65OIHKo/WpvgbEAlq4I/AAAAAAAAKgI/Js7Rz8FTPN4TRkXk3iqkDb7QIBtzX8SZACLcBGAs/s400/Stamping%2BBella%2BGnome%2Bon%2Ba%2BSwing%2B1.jpg

I liked this card so much that I copied it exactly.... 4 times!

Thanks for stopping by.

Using leftovers

Hi!
For Challenge #542 at Little Red Wagon, Imke challenges us to use our leftovers.

I have a drawer full of pieces and parts ...The pink paper was the only thing I had to cut for this card.
Last summer I spent a day with my friend Darlene in her awesome craft room.
She must have a kizillion dies and I had a field day just die cutting away!
Unfortunately... I didn't write the name or source of the things I cut.
These sweet flowers were cut from white cardstock.
They are joined as one unit across the bottom so I didn't have to arrange them,
I just added another leftover scrap of green check paper to cover the bottom and
then just added a little color to the flowers with copic markers.

I hope you have as much fun looking through your leftovers as I did!

Thanks for stopping by.
'til next time,
Doni

Getting Old!

Hi!
This Wednesday it's JanR's turn to pick the topic
for Challenge #534 at Little Red Wagon.
She would like to see  masculine cards.
It just so happens that I have a nephew turning 60 this month!
Yep 60, holy smokes!  He is soon going to be older than me!--or at least what I admit to!
I think this says it all. :)

IRL you can see that the background paper is all about birthdays.
Here's a closer look:

Head on over to The Little Red Wagon
to check out what the other girlfriends have made
and be sure and link up your masculine card.

Book Lover!

Hi!
Isn't it amazing how fast Wednesday's roll around?
I'm the hostess for Challenge #533 this week over at Little Red Wagon.

January is a good time to curl up with a good book, so this week
I'd like to see anything connected with books or reading.
You could a sentiment with lots of words, or book pages as a background.
I can't read without my glasses, so glasses on your card would work!
Here's  what I made:
I used the really cute stamp set called "Our Story" from My Favorite Things.

I made this card and matching bookmark for my cousin who loves to read.
I tried talking her into trying a e-reader ( I Love my Kindle!), however
she says that she just likes the feel of turning the pages in a "real" book!

Here's a quick tip:
When you're trying to figure out what colors to use here's what I do.
Look through your mountains of patterned paper and choose one you like.
Use  the colors in the print and they'll be sure to look good together!

'till next time,
Doni

Birthday Toucan

Hi!

Over at Double D Challenges the theme is Balloons.

I was inspired by this card I saw on pinterest

This is what I came up with:
Supplies used:
Newton's Nook - Toucan Party stamp set
Technique Tuesday - Umpteenth Birthday stamp set (for the balloons)
Happy Little Stampers - mix mash ( for the Happy Birthday)

OK, I decided this looked like it was missing something, so I added some sequins and
Wink Of Stella on the balloons and hat.  Much better!

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi!
Happy 2020 every one!

This week is challenge #530 at Little Red Wagon.
This week Brenda wants Out with the Old
or in other words...NBUS (never  been used stuff)!

I buy faster than I use, so I had lots to choose from :)
What I settled on was a Stencil and Pixie Spray both having been untouched for a long time.
( Pixie Spray is a light repositionable adhesive )
 Here's what I made:

I used Distress Ink - Broken China and Blueprint Sketch
The You is a die cut from Avery Elle called Simply Said You.
The word rock is from My Favorite Things - All About You.
