Book Lover!

Hi!
Isn't it amazing how fast Wednesday's roll around?
I'm the hostess for Challenge #533 this week over at Little Red Wagon.

January is a good time to curl up with a good book, so this week
I'd like to see anything connected with books or reading.
You could a sentiment with lots of words, or book pages as a background.
I can't read without my glasses, so glasses on your card would work!
Here's  what I made:
I used the really cute stamp set called "Our Story" from My Favorite Things.

I made this card and matching bookmark for my cousin who loves to read.
I tried talking her into trying a e-reader ( I Love my Kindle!), however
she says that she just likes the feel of turning the pages in a "real" book!

Here's a quick tip:
When you're trying to figure out what colors to use here's what I do.
Look through your mountains of patterned paper and choose one you like.
Use  the colors in the print and they'll be sure to look good together!

'till next time,
Doni

Birthday Toucan

Hi!

Over at Double D Challenges the theme is Balloons.

I was inspired by this card I saw on pinterest

This is what I came up with:
Supplies used:
Newton's Nook - Toucan Party stamp set
Technique Tuesday - Umpteenth Birthday stamp set (for the balloons)
Happy Little Stampers - mix mash ( for the Happy Birthday)

OK, I decided this looked like it was missing something, so I added some sequins and
Wink Of Stella on the balloons and hat.  Much better!

Thanks for stopping by.
'til next time,

Happy New Year!

Hi!
Happy 2020 every one!

This week is challenge #530 at Little Red Wagon.
This week Brenda wants Out with the Old
or in other words...NBUS (never  been used stuff)!

I buy faster than I use, so I had lots to choose from :)
What I settled on was a Stencil and Pixie Spray both having been untouched for a long time.
( Pixie Spray is a light repositionable adhesive )
 Here's what I made:

I used Distress Ink - Broken China and Blueprint Sketch
The You is a die cut from Avery Elle called Simply Said You.
The word rock is from My Favorite Things - All About You.

Head on over to The Little Red Wagon
to check out what the other girlfriends have made.

Thanks for stopping by.
'til next time,
Doni
